I keep hearing April first too. I heard this date at the record store where I work, on OLP.CC, and yes, even an official OLP.COM e-mail newsletter (although it did seem like kind of a side note).

If this does come out April 1st, it won't do to well. And I don't mean like not as good as the other 5, I mean like it will totally flop! If no one but the hard core fans know about it, they're the only ones who will buy it.

I don't think the point of this album is to sell records... it's just one of those things for the fans, I know money is always a factor but I'm sure they made enough off their tour that they can manage if they don't seel a load of these
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

There is supposed to be a sampler being given out at the shows in Europe. If anyone is going, they need to try to get as many as possible from the Avril fans who don't even know who OLP is.

A sampler of what? The live cd? If so, I say leave them to the Avril fans! As much as I would love to hear a few of the songs a bit early, if it's coming out April 1st, we don't have long to wait anyway. Maybe a few of the Avril fans will be turned on to OLP. IMO, that is more important than the real OLP fans hearing a few live tracks a week or 2 early.

This is what it said:

"Attention collectors: a CD snippet sampler will be given away to fans attending the European tour. The sampler's tracklisting includes 60-second samples of Innocent, Somewhere Out There and Bring Back The Sun along with a CD Extra featuring an EPK of tour footage and a calendar photo gallery."

So it's more than just what going to be on the live CD. Please, somebody get one and sell it to me!

The sampler CD has on it:

- the first verse and chorus of Innocent
- the first verse and part of the chorus of SOT
- the second verse and chorus of BBTS
(all album versions)

The best bit is when you put in in your computer. There's a really long film - a mixture of bits from the bonus DVD from Gravity, bits of videos and lots of interview stuff from all of them - mostly shot at the Innocent video shoot. It's mostly the usual 'we loved making Gravity and working with Bob' then 'we love Steve so much' stuff. But there was some really interesting stuff about how they wrote the songs including how SOT was the chorus of one songs they'd written with the verses of another. I think there was a shot of some lyrics for one of those songs there - or at least a version of SOT with lyrics that aren't in the song now. There's a little bit of Steve saying something in an English accent that made us laugh hysterically - he'll quite often do it when talking to me and I think he's been practising cos it's definitely better than it used to be!
There's some pictures that you can print out to make a calendar and some other stuff - the usual Sony bio and I think something else that I can't remember but we skipped over becuase we'd seen it before.

We'll try and get as many more CDs as we can. There are friends that we have to give them to, but after that we'll have to try and work out how to distribute the others.
