I just listened to a couple of songs on their new album. Not that bad. As I said, it's Linkin Park kind with a female singer that souds like Shirley Manson.

Yeah, apparently, they're huge... already. And, I'm one of the people who heard them and thought Linkin Park plus female. Apparently, the rapper dude is only a guest "singer" on that one song, though. But, still. You put that out as your first single, and you've gotta be doing it for the attention of the LP crowd.

And, about Y100... have they? I hadn't really noticed. Probably because my own music collection is dominated by male artists, so it's nothing unusual for me to hear. I personally love Y100 (though, I don't listen to the radio very often... but when I do, it's always the first station I put on). The djs are awesome... they goof off, mess up, and just talk like normal people. I'd kill to work for that station. ;)

Dude, you have to learn to love and embrace your genital herpes. In a little bit of time, it will become your friend, and then, and only then, will you appreciate herpes. What am I talking about? I don't know. I need a drink.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I dont see the linkin park comparison either..they're completely different, besides the fact that it's a girl instead of a guy, but she brings something different in with her voice that i haven't heard in a rock band before. I think the guy in the background sounds like he listens to Disturbed too much.

The guy in the background is from the band 12 stones. 12 stones and Evanescence are fellow lable mates. Just for the record, dont judge this band just by the "bring me to life" song.

ooh, ive heard of 12 stones..ive only heard one of their songs tho
yeah, my friend has this cd and she was playing it and to me, bring me to life sounds like the only good song..maybe because there's a guy in it.

They didn't 'put the girl' in the band to get them noticed .. Amy and Ben ARE the band .. they met years ago when they were in their teens and he talked her into starting a local band cuz he could play guitar and she could sing .. then they expanded and picked up their drummer and the other guitar player .. the cd is amazing, the lyrics are beautiful and well written .. i hate when people try to talk shit about a band they know nothing about.

God Joey, stop being so defensive. Maybe not everyone here likes to buy into liking the band that's "hot" at the moment every moment like you.

Here's another idea. Maybe people aren't into the "I love God" music either, like the stuff Evanescence puts out. See, people aren't going to "I like this band because they have a cool song" thing all the time. I stopped when Seven Mary Three did nothing after Cumbersome, and you all should too.

Not being defensive, but I can stoop to the immaturity of *cough* they suck too ... and you don't know shit about the music I like .. but nice attempt. Oh and if you think she's writing about 'god' then you really should give the cd another listen .. cuz I'm about as anti-religious as they get and they're definitely not an i love god kind of band

Maybe you should give it another listen, because they are a Christian band, but hey, they lie, right? And let's see, I know you like three bands. OLP (popular) Good Charlotte (popular) and Evanescence (popular). Only OLP has any staying popular. The other two are fads. But please, go ahead and keep acting like a bitch, we like you a lot more when you do.

Based on the one song, I really like it. And opinions are just opinions. I hate all that emo shit that most of you guys thing is the best thing to ever exist. And as far as I'm concerned, that's whats "hot" at the moment. I wouldn't bust Joey for liking what's "hot."
