They're coming to my town tomorrow, I'm thinking about going, but I'm a little low in cash.

we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.

CURSIVE

the new cd called The Ugly Organ Player is amazing. The combination of a cello and an organ are amazing and give this record the most emotion I have heard in an album. It is in a way a concept album so either d/l the entire album and listen from start to finish or buy it. Here are a few songs if you just want to give it a test.

"Some Red Handed Slight of Hand", "Art is Hard", "Staying Alive"

now go and download the music

I can't believe you didn't include The Martyr in your list of Cursive music. I am shocked and appauled.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Jeff, I got a problem here. There is two shows coming to Detroit on the same night.

There's Hot Rod Circuit in a small club. Then there's Sparta, Glassjaw, and Hot Water Music on the same night a mile away. Which should I go to?

Not too sure. Well, I think I am gonna go with HWM for two reasons. One, I am seeing HRC open for New Found Glory and in New Jersey, and two, I just pray that Matt Skiba will come out and sing with HWM like he did in San Francisco. I wanna hear Radio live.

I'm getting the impression from recent recommendations that pretty much any Saddle-Creek band is worth listening to. (i.e. Cursive, Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes, etc.)
