A for becoming popualr in america. Sure it would be cooler if they became a wee bit more popular, But Not WAY popular.
The only way for them to become very popular id for them to write and play mindless Generic Rock(ie Nickelsack)
Some people on this board may already think that though :(

this next album is make or break... I fear that if it doesn't sell in the states you can kiss OLP goodbye as they would already have enough money to easily live off of and they could easily move on to other projects.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I'm hoping Steve will come in with a "Hey, guys. This is good. But I know what it's like to be an OLP fan. I know what your faithful listeners want to hear from you. What if we were to take this here, and do this to it...?" and then the rest of the guys would say "Woah. That's a good idea. Let's try it." Then Bob Rock will say, "Whatever. Just finish using my studio. Metallica's coming in tomorrow, and I need to build wheelchair access for them. Those guys are getting damn old..."

i think steve being a fan was such bullshit and it was all just a publicity scheme.

Bob Rock is playing bass on Metallicas album but isnt going to tour with them which sucks b/c this means no chance of him blowing up.

Selling out? fuck man you people dont know what that means most of the fucking time. They go uot and make a fucking great album and there trashed, no one trash's that spiritual Machines crap, thats the most popish bs they released yet. Thats when my friends lost it on olp, but then got back into them from gravity. I think you guys should realize that music evolves over time, and from the early 1990's music has defintly gotten different, im still very very glad that there still around, and even though bob rock might be altering there sound, if it wasnt for him being a down right wanker then we probally wouldnt have olp anymore.

yeah. you know, I"ve never thought of that....What does Steve actually think of Gravity? He was a fan before he was a band member...so he's got to have an opinion.

And about the whole "Steve wasn't a fan" thing...Maybe it's just a big ploy, but he's from Richmond, which is close to Port Huron and Sarnia...so most likely he at least had heard of the band before joining. Maybe he wasn't as big of a fan as we are, but I'm sure he knew who the band was.
HARDCORE!!!

OMG. I can't believe I din't think fo you
until now because when I think on
a scale of one to ten you're like YWELVE.
No, seriously?

I <3 my HLP!!!!!

Why would they make that up? Are you more likely to listen to him if he is a fan?
