Ok you're comparing run of the mill customers to a political figure. We all know that customers are stupid no matter what nationality.

Things like this get shot back and forth all the time. The only difference was that this was done publicly, which was a stupid move.

one individual can only represent him or herself, not an entire nation. the fact that you have dealt with several arrogant american assholes at work means nothing else other then the fact that those people are arrogant, american, and assholes.

parrish is canadian. she opened her mouth and said americans are "bastards". does this represent the view of the majority of canada? i should hope not.

but what your doing is your saying all americans are like that, when in actuality it's just the few people you deal with on the phone. i'm sure you've met some nice people from the states on the phone too.

damn...outposted again. :(

To be quite honest most Canadians do feel that Americans are ignorant, obnoxious and selfcentred.
Watch CBC shows... they make fun of Americans on a nightly basis with shows like This hour has 22 minutes (even the title in that one is making fun of american showbiz) Royal Canadian Airfarce, Made in Canada, and other various episodes that are shown.

One of the highest rated shows on CBC was a show called "talking to americans" where for an hour Rick Mercer roamed the US asking questions to Americans (including George Bush) all of which were aired to make light of how ignorant our neighbours to the south are. even Bushie boy called Jean Chretien, Mr Poutine (which is french fries served with cheese and gravy)

If you asked 100 Canadians how they honestly candidly feel about Americans, most of it would be negative.

most canadians, then, are stupid. my point is that the opinion of one person cannot be intrpreted as being the views of an entire group of people.

i never debate dthat point. I'm simply saying that Canadian's as a whole are inclined to find inferiorites in the US and their citizens and particularly their "president"
