well they are playing Walkerton... for like 100$...
I think that if you want to see them in an intimate setting you'll have to wait a while... or go to the states or europe cause they don't seem interested in Canada anymore. They may in fact be interested but they aren't showing it. I think they're just tired of the exposure they get here and want to try getting it elsewhere.

They've gotten too big, they were big during Clumsy, yes, but now they're pretty well the top of Canadian rock. Especially since the Hip seem to be diminishing in popularity, and most people hate Matt Good.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Taking a bus to buffalo by myself doesn't sound worth it to me .. plus the tickets would be double the price since it's American

You folks are mostly griping about what OLP has always been. They've almost always been a stagnant live act on any of their big tours. Pearl Jam, they're not.

And to talk about doing something special for Canadian fans, they held a club tour before SM and they have brought Summersault across the country twice. And that means from Vancouver to St.John's. Not many bands do this, so you can't really gripe about that too much.

My question was whether or not OLP's attendance had dropped as a whole since Clumsy and what their next move should be. I'm thinking this band only has a few years left in them.

in order to bring up canadian attendance they need to let Canada know they still care. Hence the small venue tour with a ton of stops.

it could work, cause it would hype up a bunch of fans, and everyone, not just big fans, would be really happy that a huge band would come play at their city.

you'll just have to wait till they're no longer big. Eventually another fad will come and OLP will drop from the minds of most ppl and then they'll be back to playing small venues, and really trying to reach every fan.

Then it will be too late .. you can't screw fans over and then expect them to welcome you back when you've realized you now suck .. doesn't work like that

In show business it certainly does though and people will buy it.
