New "fan club" on the CM

Post by bovine »

I think it's about time Sol Fox had a fan club here on the CM. Afterall, he's on the cover of 4 out of 5 of OLPs albums and countless singles. We could call it the "Sol Squad".

Sol = :drool:

:lol:

Sol is the coolest and used to be part of the band. Being he is on 4 cd covers he should get some recognition. I think there should be a fan club for him. :nod:

hmm, to tell the truth, I don't know that much about him either. What I do know is that he is an actor (or so I have heard). I checked a few online retailers of DVDs and videos to see if they had anything from him, but they didn't :neutral: (I checked all the big ones like amazon and cdnow and also a few Canadian ones - I don't know for a fact that he's Canadian, but I'm assuming that there's a good possibility - such as hmv).

I was figuring that due to the fact that nothing came up there, he may be a TV actor or maybe a stage actor?

I have an audio clip of him reading the "Our Lady Peace" poem from which the band got its name. I don't know if it was recorded or if he was actually there, but the reading was at a live OLP show. I'm sure you can find a clip of it somewhere (maybe on the Hub?).

Oh, I also know that he has a nipple ring thanks to that thread here on the CM a little while back, you can see it on the Naveed cover if you open it up :lol:

If anyone knows any other Sol tidbits, please add! Oh, and vote "yes" for the Sol Squad!!!

Well he's like 80, if that tells you anything. I'm guessing it would pretty hard to do a lot of photo shoots at 80.

Yeah. The fact that he's 80, along with conflicting schedules, is the reason that he's not on Gravity's cover. They rushed to get the cover done. Hence the simplistic design.

That's a shame! Normally I could care less what the cover looks like. But Sol was such an icon in the OLP world!

Although I would love to be the laughing stock of the CM, I chose "Yes".

i think we're grasping at straws...
The Pookie Brigade was great, The Mazurite Mob was just as good, but the Coutts Cartel and Maida mob or whatever it was just took it too far... now Sol? I dunno...

I second that :thumbs: How can Jeff have a group without a previous memeber of OLP and the guy who was on the cover of 4 out of 5 albums??? (of course, I should add that I don't mean to offend Jeff...he deserves his own group and forum, but oh well... :lol: )
