er... does it have to be a song? or can it be and experience?

well myne is an experience, the buffalo show the other day, before they did starseed raine just (for lack of better words)... whined  it was soooo beautiful   but a song... hmmm... ok i really, there's too many to choose, and i'm sure they've all been said (i didn't read it all) but i'm gonna go with All my friends, pretty much the whole song
Death gives meaning to our lives, it gives importance and value to time. Time would become meaningless if there were too much of it.

i love it when he breaks into some made up lyrics at live shows. he did that with naveed at the hartford show. i also love the Live at the House of Blues when he does that- "There's an old man in back of the door he says he's alright but he still wants more and there's a young man inside of the house who says he's ok, ok, ok..." also the biginning of Middle of Yesterday at that show when he says "You feel the love, you feel the past..." the crowd just goes crazy and it just gives me chills *shivers a little* damn i wish i was there...

I noticed at the Detroit show he'll just like switch lyrics around, like in "Life" where he says "remember losing hope, remember feeling low" well he just switched those around, it's not that big of a deal but i found it interesting. :)

ok probably a lot of mine have been said but i wanted to really think about this before i posted and i have so here goes...

*the way he says "particular" in Supersatellite and Naveed
*Neon: "Its so entertaining and so wonderful it magically calls for you"
*Julia: "black cat in the night, and theres a black cat in that sky"
*Naveed: the whole chorus

*Superman's dead: "you wooorry bout the weather and whether or not you should ha-i-a-i-ate"
*Car crash: "Have you been there, have you been there"
*Big Dumb Rocket: the humming in the beginning...god it just kills me

*Waited: "woke to sounds, prayed you were there, fell back down but im sure you still care"
*Theif and Stealing Babies: the whole damn song!
*Lying awake: Running away from the backs of opinions youve borrowed and betrayed"

*RBY: "you opened up my veins, now i dont feel the same... yeah that whole part
*In Repair: "Something, something, SOMETHING"
*Are you sad: the "oh, oh, ohhh, oh, oh, ohhh" part

*Made of Steel: "they laugh at you, ill shut them up"
*Sell my soul: "Nothing seems to help, and nothing seems to work, and nothing is as beautiful..."
*BBTS: WHOLE SONG!!!

damn thats a lot... alright i think we've pretty much covered every lyric of every song by now!

This one is old, but I have to reply. Yeah yeah, let's all laugh at the noob.

Blister: The falsetto in the chorus

Naveed: The live version, how he goes "GO!", and then basically the entire song. The highlight is the guitar on it. though

Starseed: Over, NOTHING, NOTHING, Waaaahhheyyyyyyyy, ooooh whyyyyyhiiiiiiieee or something like that :wtf:

Hope: If You Can't be There I know it's best that nothing is denieieieied

Superman's Dead: The last "IIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!" after "subway"... I move the track back just to hear it

Happiness & The Fish: The chorus

ASAaG: When he goes "baby girl", it's funny hearing Raine say that

Carnival: At the end, when he's lightly in the background going "Carnival cloooosed down!"

And my personal favorite!

Leave a little room... for us to breathe...

Wow, I never posted in this thread... probably because it kinda died the day before Villanova, and I didn't start posting til AFTER Villanova. Anyway, mine... well, I could give about a million, but just without thinking about it, I've gotta say:

Car Crash

Whole song. Just. Ugh. Amazing. Oh, and you know what? I've got another that KILLS me:

live Starseed intro

It's just... dear GOD. I could listen to that over and over and over and over and... well, you get the idea. Like I said, I could go on forever with these, but I'll spare you all and shut up now. If this thread sticks around, though, I'll probably add more eventually. Heehee.

the starseed intro is amazing, also Teardrop/Carnival, and Slow Julia both need to have studio versions
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

"Hold on, hold on children, your mother and father are leaving, hold on, hold on children your best freind's parents are leaving, leaving,.......*AHHH*! " - Death From Above - Black History Month

I come from the wonderful future of 2009!!! :clumsy:

Whoa, thread revival!!

Naveed — the whole song, basically
Starseed — the "yeah-yeah-yeah-heeee" part at the very beginning that starts up the beat of the song
Neon Crossing — the build-up part when he goes "And I can't wait... I can't be the LIAR LIAR!!... the LIAR, LYYYEE YARRRR.."
The Birdman — "I can't see him but he's stalking my (FUCKING?) thoughts!!!"

Superman's Dead — all the vocalizations that aren't ACTUAL words, haha, which is like half the song... (i.e. "now-a hoo hoo now a hoo-hoo now a-hoo hoo")
4 AM — just the way his voice builds from a slow tempo to a full-blown whine (a GOOD whine  ) by the end of the song so perfectly
Carnival — The very end of the song when the xylophone (sp?) instrument thing starts up again, and Raine does random vocalizations.. like "Claaooossed down, do do do"

One Man Army — each time in the chorus when he changes the note perfectly from one octave to another,,, the part where he goes "through the blaze EYE know EYE'M coughing..."
Blister — fuckin amazing part when he goes "lonely, I'm wanderrrr-iing, patrolling.... for enaaauh---mees!!".... Raine's voice is so amazing through this whole song
Thief — The way his voice is in perfect unison with the instruments at "this will not go... awaiiiiee"
Annie — "there's SOMEthing in the way she exPLAINS to me, please be careful I exist in SOMEWAN,,, elses head oh no"... and the part "Woah oh oh Woah oh oh".
Stealing Babies — one of my favorite Raine-ism vocalizations: "When you gonna make me understaaahuhhand, WHY!! How should I say "I'm SOOO sorry", how should we pray... to make us feel alaaye ayee ayee ayyee ayyee ayee ayyee ayyyyive".... I try to duplicate this every time I listen... I probably fail miserably.

Middle of Yesterday — the end when he goes on the "Oh, and I'll make it up to you" rant
Everyone's a Junkie — The way he vocalizes "black" in the part "But everything's gone blaaaack"
All My Friends — The second time he goes "Again, this time, we won't understand again, I'm not waiting for....", when the instruments pick up
The Wonderful Future — the whole EFFING song  , lol

Somewhere Out There —This song basically defines the change in his vocal style... I like the way his voice sounds in this song
Not Afraid (live) — I like the way he's yelling the words in this live version, as opposed to the stupefied studio version

Angels Losing Sleep — Amazing chorus, love the part "I'll wait, I'll wait I'll wait I'll wait"
—Doesn't anybody ever know—
