ok, i haven't been a member here for that long so can someone please tell me why people hate Gravity. I know it does not compare to OLP's early stuff, but I think it's still a good sounding album. Unless...I'm wrong.

Not everyone here hates it... seems the majority do, though. 
I, personally, love the album. But, yeah, most OLP fans seem to differ in opinion from me.
You can't be wrong with your opinion, by the way. Just because others don't like it doesn't mean you can't like it.

Everybody that says how great Gravity is needs to listen to the first four albums, THEN Gravity. Still think it's a great album? I think a lot of people, myself included, are biased, mainly because it's an OLP album. I mean, I love the band and still check them out live, but if it had been anybody else that released it, the album would have been the butt of many jokes from OLP fans. Granted, certain songs are awesome, Innocent, Sell My Soul, Story About a Girl, Sorry, Bring Back the Sun, and even All for you are awesome songs. But c'mon, Made of steel? I wrote more complicated songs when I was 13 on guitar. And is it really necessary to make Raine look like a pretty boy in the SOT video? The band kicks ass as it is, don't portray them as something they aren't. Compare the SOT video to there ACTUAL live show. Big difference. Our time is fading is badass though.

The reason why people hate it is because we all expected when we went into the store to get it there would be a ray of sunshine shining on it and when we got it, it wasn't anything like what we wanted.
