I've never met him so I can't kind of contribute but I have to say....in the picture with Nikki:

Raine's hat = about 7 inches.

Which could explain some confusion

Not really....coz when you met him you, hopefully, would have been speaking to his face...not the top of his hat. so he would have seemed about level to you but then you look at the picture and his hat finishes miles above you.
