It does look red in that capture... but I watched the video... and it doesn't look red. And it definitely disappears at times. I think it's just his collar.

It's just the indent between the chords in his neck. You can see it appear and dissapear when he's putting a lot of stress into some words/lines.
Either that or he and Chantal were getting freaky before the shoot.
