Collective Soul

Collective Soul

I was listening to Collective Soul's "Greatest Hits" disc today, and it reminded me just how great this band is. They are one of the most successful bands to come out of the 90's (they're the only band in history to have seven straight Top 10 rock singles). They have so many great songs, it's hard to believe they're not talked about that much by people. As far as I know they're finishing up their new studio album and that will be out sometime this year.

If you aren't familiar with Collective Soul, I'd reccomend downloading these songs first, and then if you like 'em, go buy their CD's. I actually dare you to not like Collective Soul.

Songs
01.) "Run" (*)
02.) "Precious Declaration" (*)
03.) "December" (*)
04.) "The World I Know"
05.) "Energy"
06.) "Forgiveness" (*)
07.) "She Said"
08.) "Shine"
09.) "Why Pt. 2"
10.) "She Gathers Rain"
11.) "Gel"
12.) "Heavy"
13.) "Needs" (*)
14.) "When The Water Falls"
15.) "Perfect Day" (Featuring Elton John)

(*) = My Personal Favorites

Yep.

I really didn't like Blender though, something about it turned me off.

Self-Titled is one of the greatest discs ever put out IMO.

Heavy is one of the greatest, IF NOT the greatest track ever put out.

Point is, Great band.

"Heavy" is awesome. I knew that song before I knew who Collective Soul was. "The World I Know" and "December" are other favorites of mine.

It would be damn near impossible to top their self-titled 1995 release; you're right, it's a classic in every sense of the word. From beginning to end, it's just so damn good. I liked "Blender" but it was one of their weakest albums, along with their debut "Hints..."
