Yeah, I tried to enter that Avril contest, too, and I *do* have a passport, but I got an error when I submitted my info. But, I'm sure everyone submitting is getting that error, so whatever. Guys, we ALL have to enter (if we meet the requirements, of course)... if an OLP fan goes on tour... haha, that'd be the best thing ever. "Avril? Eh, screw her, I'm here for OLP! WOOH!!!" I think everyone's jaws would drop. It'd be hilarious. MTV wouldn't know what to do (because, of course, you couldn't reveal this information until you were already in Europe and they couldn't back out). Best part? Winners get cameras to tape everything. So, one camera would be focused on OLP. Maybe we'd actually get to see some OLP on MTV for once! Hah!

j/k  Anyway, do you remember if he said where? Any US dates?

No places were mentioned, sorry. Though it would have to be the States wouldn't it? - they've just done Canada, they're about to do Europe - the US is all there is left!

I cant see OLP going to Japan to play a concert.

I say they will tour the states headlining in April-June

then will probably open up for a bigger band in the July-August or play a lot of radio shows again.

then they will record the new album.

Sounds like a good plan! Although I thought that they were going to be recording for most of the summer. Also, I don't comprehend what you mean by 'a bigger band'. Are there bands bigger than OLP...oh yeah, there are...BIGGER, but not BETTER

I agree! I personally don't think that there are *any* bands that are better than OLP (well, maybe Nirvana - that's a close one - but I doubt anyone will be opening for them anytime soon if you know what I mean...). I do realize that there are a some bands who have been around a lot longer than OLP and are quite talented, but it always seems that OLP opens for really bad bands (Avril, and Creed to name 2). Or maybe not *really* bad, but bad enough that OLP shouldn't be opening for them. I mean I can stand listening to Avril and Creed, but they don't even rank when compared to OLP. I think it would be a great idea for OLP to open for Pearl Jam at some point...what do you all think? (did I just say "you all"? )

Chantal said something on Vicky Gabereau about Raine touring with her and that they'd be making a record together by next year

they did open for Pearl Jam I think back in the day. They actually played the amphitheatre near my house which is very shocking.

Yes, this should be a great album as I'm a huge fan of OLP (obviously) and Chantal! It would be so awesome if Raine & Chantal would open for OLP. Maybe half of the Raine/Chantal performance could be both of them doing the songs from their joint album while the other half of the performance is just Chantal doing some of her solo stuff. Then there would probably have to be another opener so that Raine could rest his voice (hmm, I wounder who that could be?) then OLP. That would rock :)

Going back to the other countries thing... OLP has very very few fans in places other than Canada, US, and Europe (heh, even in the last two, there's few)... so, I really doubt they'd tour anyplace else. So, don't worry.

I wonder when they'll announce their plans for after Europe? I'm getting impatient.

I think they should take a break... get rested up. They've been on the road for a long time now. I know Chantal is touring in April so Raine'll wanna be with her for that and I'm sure that they'll play the odd show here and there but they'd probably wanna just get some rest so they can come of with something great for their 6th album.

I'd much rather that then have them burnt out.

That's very true! As much as I would love to see OLP again soon, I would rather they take a break if it's going to mean that when they come back from that break they'll be that much better! Any word about Chantal coming to the US? I've never had the pleasure of seeing her and I would really love to...

Well... it is on the US MTV website. And MTV's a US station. Not that it makes it right, but yeah. So, c'mon all 16+ US passport holding people! Enter!

I think the best part about all the requirements to enter is that it rules out SO many Avril fans. Can't be Canadian. Can't be under the age of 16. Have to have a passport. Have to be available to travel a full week (meaning you'd miss a lot of school).
