No word from OLP???

Post by bovine »

So it's pretty much been confirmed that the live cd is coming out April 1 as it's on olp.cc, mtv.com *and* at FYE where I work. So why wouldn't there be any word about the album on olp.com or olp.net??? I would think that they would want to promote their new album. If they don't start soon I don't think this album is going to go over to well. I mean if only a few people know that it's out, only a few people are going to buy it, right?

OLP's known for doing that. There have been several times when they've announced a concert a week or so before it takes place.

Why they do that, no clue

i dont think that this cd is going to much in terms of sales actually it is just a waste of time and money for OLP but i am just hoping for a cool insert and cd design but I know it will just be similar to Gravity

When Gravity came out, I was almost just as excited to see the new CD Design as I was to get the album... Then when I looked at it I was like "Oh G-d no"

But anyway, they'll probably start announcing it soon... There will probably be lots of news about it in March or so.

I think this is their way to give back to the fans... Some fans don't have the chance to hear them live and this is their chance. It's still a month and a half away, it's not like its next week or anything

i also heard something about the live album having the studio version of "Our Time Is Fading".......dont know if that is true but it would rock
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

Yes, I heard this also! Not confirmed from where I heard it either, but I did hear it. That would be cool, although I'd be quite happy with a crisp, clear live version as well. Did they play that one at either of the 2 recorded dates?

I Heard that they were possibly thinking of making OTIF a single when the live cd is released

I did hear that they were going to be writing and (possibly) recording some over the next week or 2. However, I think that the majority of the writing/recording will be done over the summer after their tour with Avril. I'm hoping for a release by the end of this year, but I think the beginning or even middle of next year is more likely.

This came up when we were talking to Steve after the Montreal show. Of the 3 weeks between playing their last gig in the States and coming over here they're having one of the weeks off and then the first of the others they're writing some new stuff and the next week they're getting together with Bob Rock. Steve also said that when they record the new album all depends on when Bob's got time for them. I think he said that they're currently planning to tour in April, but if Bob were to be free then then they'd do new album stuff then instead.

Steve's so excited about writing and recording the new songs. It's really sweet.

WHen BOB has time. What about the band. After Gravity the Band should be saying that they'll record with Bob when they have time. I fuckin hate bob rock with a passion. Anyway 6th album will stiill be pretty sweet same with a live album. OLP always sets a way to keep us waiting. Live DVD would also be pretty sweet. I can't wait til april.

^ "when the band has time"

OLP isn't god. especially to Bob Rock. OLP isn't the only band that works with him and I'm sure if they want him to do their album then they're willing to wait and let him find time for them.

they probably have no clue
They're focused on other things to think that far ahead
they have 20 gigs or so coming up in front of a new audience, this is their main focus. Not if they're gonna play Wichita in April

There's a contest on MTV where you can be her roadie for her European Tour. I am going to enter just to go on tour with OLP in Europe. How awesome would that be? Fuck Avril.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
