I find it odd/humbling that "Our Lady Peace" is so much bigger than Avril's name. :)

They'll play The Birdman, definitely. I think they have too much fun with that song to take it out of their set.

I think this thread should be renamed to 'OLP promotion in the Netherlands'. We STILL haven't seen any mention of OLP anywhere in the UK  . Still, only 20 days 'til I get to see them again :D

Shhhhhhhh. Stop feakin' rubbing it in!

My executive decision is that I'm ringing Bham Academy soonish and asking if they've had cancellations. If no such luck, I'm ringing the day of the gig. If that STILL fails - I'm going to stand outside and cross all digits in hope of a tout charging less than £50 for a ticket.

And, no, I haven't heard anything about OLP over here either. The British Press are obviously too obsessed with Beckham's forehead

Sorry - I'm just excited. But you should be able to get a ticket for the Birmingham show. For the OLP shows in Birmingham and Manchester in November they were sold out, but they had some tickets to sell on the day.
This sounds like rubbing it in even more and I really don't mean to, but I'll be at the Birmingham show so we'll have to arrange to meet up.

Heh. No need to apologise...I'm just bitter

Pretty much everyone I've spoken to has said the same sort of thing - that I should be able to get a ticket on the day. I don't see why it should be a problem...I only live like 20 minutes away even if there aren't any.

We should meet up if I go :D

Where else are you going then? Birmingham and...London somewhere I assume?

Brussels, Birmingham, Manchester, London x3. We were going to do Glasgow too, but I think i'll be worn out if I do that. We might still change our minds though!

i hate you.

;)

There's no way that I could get my friends to go to anywhere except Birmingham/Wolverhampton. They just don't seem to care about these things. FOOLS. I'm too much of a chicken to go on my own though, lol.

I'm lucky that I've met enough OLP fans that I can go to any OLP concert in the UK (and abroad too) and know someone there. Though these shows I'm going to with some OLP friends I met online.

I've been to 2 concerts really on my own and I don't really like it. The first was the Stereophonics with OLP supporting back in 1999. The second was Good Charlotte at the Garage in London in November. That was wierd. The show bit was fine, it was the waiting around for it to start that I felt really self conscious.

Out of interest does anyone ever play in Wolverhampton? It doesn't sound like the kind of place anyone would play, but I could be wrong. Other than OLP shows I've only ever been to gigs in London, so I don't know much about the rest of the country.

lol. Yes, for some bizarre reason, people do play Wolverhampton. The Civic and Wulfrun are quite popular with bands. I think that the people who own the venue forget to mention that they are situated in the backstreets of Wolverhampton . But bands go...I've seen Incubus there. I mean, seriously, a band as big as Incubus playing Wolverhampton Civic. Surreal.
