I love how some of the videos have a certain colour tone to them...
Birdman: Purple/Orange
Starseed: Orange/Brown
Hope: Purple/Blue
SD (Can): Green
AF: Brownish
4am: Brown
Thief: Bluey green
Life: White
SoT: Blue (due to lights)
Innocent: Green
I don't see reddish tinted. I see sunlight. Maybe that seems unoriginal because of the title.

In Repair is a much better single than Are You sad? hands down..........are You sad is beautiful, but slow, and a flasetto chorus wouldn't be well received.
Its too bad that many memorable songs haven't been made to videos.
I was watching Brad TV a little over a week ago, and I THINK he said something about shooting the new music video over 3 days in Ottawa.
There was some loud noise coming from the computer, (sounded like REM) and it blocked some of it out. So I could be wrong, so I waited and no-one said anything so I forgot.
But hey, it sure did sound like it.

and the sun comes out at the end and it's in color!!!!!!!!!!!!
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.
but b&w is cool when he says grass wasn't greener i found because there would be no color

God, if they just did something unoriginal and made something like "4AM part two" for their video, I would love it. I just want something breathtaking like 4AM and Thief were.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
See, the video starts out in black and white, but gradually, one by one, as the sun comes up, the colors return.

What i think they should do is either not make a video for made of steel, and then by the time the radio air time is over for it, release Our Time is Fading as a single to promote the live Cd. They wouldnt even have to make a video for it either , they could just use the dvd footage.
You know how ourladypeace.net had a music video contest for innocent(one of my really good freinds came third!!!!) Are they doing that for the next single, whatever that may be. i have a great idea for a made of steel video. and i really like your guys' idea for BBTS, come to think of it that song always seemed b& w to me and your ideas for colour make it more interesting. putting in the dave mattew's-type photo animation would be cool too.
They should seriously just let us pick the singles and design the videos. Fans know this stuff better than any video director. I love all the ideas you guys have come up with... and I bet the band would, too.
Although, I agree that I'd rather the best songs stay a secret from the general public. I'd hate for, say, BBTS to be overplayed. *shudder* Not to mention, it'd just piss me off to hear non-OLP fans screaming for it. Just wouldn't be right.

I agree about my favorites not being singles, I like it that way. Down here in America, the only osng anyone has ever heard from OLP is Somewhere Out There. Most people are shocked that they have 4 more albums, let alone singles.
OLP is my little niche. Amazing how much difference a border makes.
It really is... the size difference between shows in Canada and here is just... astonishing.
