Made Of Steel

Post by CODITH »

Are they planning on making a vid for it? You think they would have used it during the tour then they could use the footage from the dvd and make the vid, but w/e. If you know if its out or when it will be tell me.

I'm thinking "no"... they probably would have made the video by now. :( I'd really like to see one, too. Darn it. Oh well.

I'm hoping yes, maybe they'll go back to 5 singles off an album with 4 videos.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

I hope they skip making a video, and then release Not Enough and BBTS and make videos for those

They play Sell My Soul on the radio here in Detroit. Peculiar, eh?
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

if they did that, make made of steel a radio single them pop Not Enough as the vid that would be pwnage. I doubt it though, but seriously though, rock albums this day and age need 3-4 vids.

I've always thought that BBTS would make a great video, but yeah it really is just a dream, like blister and SB videos.

Imagine they made a video for an older song? Like Naveed-era or something? That'd be cool.

Blister would be an amazing video, as would Are You Sad? and Carnival. Apparently the band thinks taking the faster paced songs would be better, even though the opposite is true. Most bands get a lot more recognition from the pop scene when they have a breakthrough slow song. Metallica did it with One. Puddle of Mudd did it with one of their bullshit songs (the name escapes me.) They want popularity, they know how to get it, so if they don't ever hit it big like they want, so fucking be it, they fuck themselves over, not us.

Incubus got bigger with Drive, which was one of their mellower songs on the cd, i.e. nothing like their other songs. They put out harder songs as singles earlier, which might have got them a little bit of fame, but Drive kept them on TRL for a while.

Exactly. Blister and AYS are two of their best songs and would work so well on the radio, yet they don't release them. Hmmm, a good majority of people like to hear something not happy, poppy, and hope-laiden all the time. Too bad they can't go back and release the correct songs for singles. I would like to shake the hand of the genius that thought In Repair or Right Behind You would make a better single than AYS. Don't get me wrong, I love In Repair and all, it's one of my favorite songs, but come on, it doesn't work as a single.

OLP at least tried to do the slow song thing when they released Thief. Too bad they didn't think releasing it to America would be a good idea. And yes, they seriously dropped the ball hardcore with that one.

Look at two of the most powerful OLP videos; 4am and Thief. Slow songs.

BBTS would make an amazing video.

I've had music videos in my head for BBTS practically every time I hear it. It just seems perfect.
