loooooong songs

Post by committed »

ok. i need songs that are 6+ minutes long. preferrably longer if possible.

so far i have:
weezer - only in dreams
something corporate - konstantine
let's not shit ourselves - bright eyes
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

Freebird. Duh.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Jimmy Eat World- Goodbye Sky Harbor, My Sundown
Zwan- Jesus, I/Mary Star Of The Sea (this is one track with an unusual name, I guess)

These are all 10 minutes and over, I think.

Edit: Found a few more
6gig- Willie
Daft Punk- Too Long
Doves- Sea Song, The Cedar Room, Satellites
Jeff Buckley- Hallelujah, Lover You Should've Come Over
Massive Attack- Protection

I pledge allegiance to the flag of Michigan and to the state for which it stands, 2 peninsulas surrounded by the beautiful great lakes and united by a bridge of steel and where we all love the Detroit Red Wings

godspeed you! black emperor - pick any song, and it's probably over 10 minutes.
I'm too lazy to think of any other at the moment.

Oh, and probably Dream Brother, by Jeff Buckley. It's damn good, too.

Oops. My Sundown is less than 6 minutes. I forgot to take into account a couple minutes of dead space added to the MP3 after I ripped it. Sorry about that.
Dream Brother is 5:26, but I agree; if you haven't heard it, give it a try. Good stuff.

i bring to you this sacrificial offering of virgin ears
leave it to me i remain free from all the comforts of home
