Liam's New Story

Post by liam »

This is a story. NOt a song! You probably know that already. Everyone, keep in mind, this is for school and I'm young. It was mostly influenced by movies, and probably matt good because i was listening to him when i wrote this. By the way... it sucks... i'm just gonna post it little by little.

Chapter One: Jack

Jack O’Neil was in is his mid twenties when he first moved to Chicago. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and was of medium height and quite thin. He found himself a nice apartment in one of the best buildings around. Being a college graduate, he easily found himself a good job at an office working for an Internet service. Jack didn’t talk to many people; in fact he didn’t have any friends or anyone to relate to. He wasn’t very talkative at all, he was rather shy and he always seemed stressed out about work.
The building was a tall, twenty floor skyscraper and his personal office was on the sixteenth floor. It had white walls and a huge window overlooking the smaller, sleepless buildings surrounding it. Jack had his own computer station where he worked diligently. The bosses would usually give him an inch high stack of paperwork for the day. Even though Jack hated the tedious work, he kept the job for its generous pay.
Every day after work, Jack would go back to his light blue walled apartment. The apartment was a little too big for one person and he never enough time or energy to fill it with furniture and things, so he just had a bed and a television with cable. Every night he would sit at home and watch countless hours of television and get very little sleep.
In the middle of his third month of suffering through work, something new happened. Jack came into work one day to find that a second desk was set up in his office, and also a second computer and a second seat. Ignoring the new equipment, Jack just went to his desk and started on his paperwork for the day. Then another man came in with two cups of coffee in his hands; he put on cup down on Jack’s desk and the other on his own. The man started talking to Jack, “Hi, my name is Jay,” he said putting out his hand for Jack to shake.
“Hi,” Jack finally replied, “My name is Jack.” The two men shook hands and Jack went back to work. Jay was about five foot eleven with black hair and big muscles. Jack’s first impression of him was that he wouldn’t last a month.
“I was transferred from the other office. The one in L.A.” Jay informed, “I’m here to help you with some of your work… like an assistant.” Jack immediately started thinking better about the company and Jay.
“Thanks,” Jack responded, and the day looked better and for the first time in a long while, life looked better for Jack.
