OLP and Drugs

well if you dissest every section of the verses thats exactly what they break into, 6 basic subtopics all falling under the topic of obsession...
not saying I'm entirely correct but I've done a lot of OLP analysis over the years and that to me is the most obvious.

I always thought Junkie and COL were similiar.
COL is more though. Raine said in an interview...that COL was about how once you start the drugs...you can never get out of it..your dead when you start them. that's why it doesn't make any sense is he's or any of member are taking drugs.
I dunno though....I do know that if they are takin drugs..that they aren't addicts

I've always just thought it was about a persons quest for meaning, after realizing the life he/she is living isnt going anywhere, and material things like drugs,tv is holding he/she back. "everythings gone black, im looking for that sun." Kinda blah, but after thinking about it thats what i conclude. :roll:

Okay, The Needle and The Damage Done is about drugs, but heroin specifically. Pot isn't really a drug, at least to me, I think it has more positive things than negative in the long run. I don't know for a fact about the band, other than the fact that I'm almost positive that Steve doesn't party hard or anything. I'm not sure about the rest of the band, but I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to toke every now and then, if not regularly. I wouldn't care one way or the other, the music is still good, and it's not crack!

Why does it matter? They make great music, and if they choose to smoke weed, then big fucking deal. I mean, if they were on heroin I might be concerned, but it's pot that everyone seems so upset over. I could care less if they did smoke weed, although if I knew they did I would probably want to smoke a joint with them.

wow, me and you are practically neighbours......and I agree about smoking a joint with OLP. I would definetly do it!! :evil:

Marijuana isn't really all that bad......like alcohol, you just have to be cautious and plan ahead. I can't stress that one enough folks.

Anything you have to inject kind of scares me. I mean the flu shot and the look on the doctors face was just menacing. I'm sure a crack dealer wouldn't be like, "this won't hurt a bit"........and then I pull my rubber hose hard and he plunges liquid death into my veins. :mad:
