I personally don't think any of them use drugs. Look at their songs, only 2 (aisles and Consequence) really talk about drugs and even then they don't refer to drug use. Aisles refers to Temptation and Consequence refers to avoiding the truth

They probably don't do drugs.

Jer's probably allergic.

I think they all like the TPB, and that Jer acting annoyed is part of some kind of an inside joke.

Its hard to say, I'd say most musicians have done drugs sometime during their life as its kinda part of the culture....

I think Jeremy might have really been annoyed. I think I remember someone saying he didn't like being called Pookie. Maybe he just doesn't like nicknames.

Being a musician doesnt mean you have to take drugs, even if it is part of the "culture". Those that do use them eventually write about them or talk about them weither it be in interviews or songs, and Our Lady Peace has never seemed to be pro drugs.

lol yea, true..but taking drugs will kill you faster.
There's only 2 songs that really refer to drugs...story of 100 aisles and COL. and I read that COL was about how once you take drugs..they will eventually kill you. Dunno exactly what 100 aisles is about though.

Story of 100 Aisles is about pain killers, not drugs like "dope", as we were talking about here.

The 100 Aisles has to do with the fact that there are thousands of pain killers in hundreds of pharmacy aisles, but they're "candy coated fakes".

It's almost an ad for Anacin (a brand of pain killer)...

I got in a big fight with my one friend about OLP and drugs. She seemed to think that Duncan looked like some sort of pothead and I dunno..i thought he'd be the LAST one of them...

I think,if anything, raine's lyrics go AGAINST all that stuff. i odnt know how to explain it, but...like, against people that hide ebhind drugs---whether they be prescription, over the ocunter or street drugs.

we are all forgetting about everyone's a junkie, as far as osngs having lyrics to do with drugs*tires to remember*

Rich and Shelley's Lyrics Page wrote:I'm not waiting for the answers
On a Sunday afternoon
I'm just too drunk to remember
Why I always slip through

The drugs that fake ambition (get the feeling now)
Have been helping me to hide (get the feeling now)
But it's the endless television (get the feeling now)
That has kept me inside

Where does it stop?
Where does it end?
Where do we go?
Why am I always complaining?

I can be good
I can be bad
I can be loved

But everything's gone black
You're looking for that sun
You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way

It's black, you're looking for that sun
You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way

Big green monkey, everyone's a junkie

I'm not asking for forgiveness (get the feeling now)
For the things that I don't know (get the feeling now)
But I'm really not that different (get the feeling now)
You just made me think so

Where does it stop?
Where does it end?
Where do we go?
Why am I always complaining?

I can be good
I can be bad
I can be loved

But everything's gone black
You're looking for that sun
You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way

It’s black, you're looking for that sun
You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way
And big green monkey, everyone's a junkie

Big green monkey, everyone's a junkie oh oh oh oh
Big green monkey, everyone's a junkie oh oh oh oh
(you fake, you squeal) oh oh oh oh
Big green monkey, everyone's a junkie
(you grow, you quake) oh oh oh oh

Big green monkey, everyone's a junkie
You’re the big green monkey, everyone's a junkie!

Black
You're looking for that sun
You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way

It's black, you're looking for that sun
You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way
And I'll remember this someday

It's black, you're looking for that sun

You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way

It's black, you're looking for that sun
You're looking for that light
Lonely, you're not the only one to feel this way

And big green monkey, everyone's a junkie

No drugs there...

It's more about futuristicness. "I can be good, I can be bad, I can be loved", I took it to be a machine's perspective of the world.

i think thats what i was remembering....oh well. what do you take formt hat? i think it DOES have to do with drugs, but everyhting iterprets things differently. my idea of that verse: the drugs that fake ambition(dont know how to explain that but...i dont know...its fairly obvious) and then th "kept me inside" is like, kept the REAL you inside. as in...like in COL he says about nobody harming you whe you're outside. outside, menaing being yourself. the commond rug theme, atleast fo r me, is being yourself---taking drugs="fake ambition" fake whatever. im kind of having trouble explaining what i mean...i dont know if you understand

I've heard Raine does drugs, or used too anyway .. from a reliable source. Not that it matters really. I love the people who keep saying they don't "look" like the type to do drugs. You'd be surprised .. you can't tell if someone does drugs or not based on how they look.

I believe he was actually Ronald MacDonald without the make-up.
