OLP going to record with Bob Rock again

Post by Mark Loj »

This is a little tidbit out of a Jam article today:

Taggart says members can't wait to get back in the studio to work with Rock again.

"I really think we're just kind of scratching the surface of what we're going to do."

I think it's a good move. But i hope they do try other producers and use old ones (lanni).

They mentioned they were gonna be working with Bob again awhile ago .. they obviously like him if they're gonna work with him a second time .. I'd prefer to see them go back to Lanni but if they're happy with Bob then I guess all we can do is wait and see

Whatever makes them happy makes me happy. I hope they do stick with tradition and change their sound a bit. Maybe more complicated and frenzied like Naveed.......just hope its not another Gravity......I mean I like it........just hope they keep their originality blossoming.

I doubt it will go back to Naveed. It will be either worse or better than Gravity (as if you didn't know :) .)

Where were they sitting? Like just backstage so that you could see them or what?..

Hm, I wonder if he'll be at all the shows?...

So was I... and I think the new album will at least be different than Gravity, but I'm not sure in which way. They've never had 2 albums exactly the same, and I don't see why they would start doing that now.

I hope they through a little concept in to the next one too. I donno about anyone else but for me cover art, and the cd booklet is always a huge thing for me. Gravity was kind of a slap in the face visually, especailly after SM.

I think it would be interesting to see what would happen if they produced their own album... I mean Raine probably has the skills to do it now on his own, and I think this would be the best way to shut up all the ppl out there who think they're selling out by going to Bob Rock... then we'd hear true OLP music with no outside influences at all

Didnt Raine Co-produce SM? I think it would be great if they produced their own record.

he's co-produced many songs but the band has never produced their own album without any help
