Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't mind either, it will get OLP more exposure. The reason I posted originally was not because I held it against OLP for playing this show, but because so many people were coming down on them for playing with Avril, but no one even mentioned this show.

That's because these bands have been around for a long time .. look at Bryan Adams and ZZ Top .. they've been around forever .. Avril is new and OLP is opening for her .. there's a huge difference

Huge difference. They're all experienced and well known musicians in their own rights. Maybe not in OLP's genre, but respected nonetheless in their own. I think it's an honor to be playing with them.

And seriously, "I'm Ready" is just a classic song.................jk

I seriously do like One night love affair, summer of '69, and Back to You............though I don't tell anybody for fear or immediate execution. Thank god I found OLP

donnie darko is awesome. i dont think this is a big deal...it's not like they're touring iwth them. someboyd on the ok go board was just asking baout what will happen if ok go become hugely popular and they said they "dont wnat to see ok go become our lady peace". i didn't know olp was "hugely popular". more people know who they are here now, but they aren't huge. funny how people are losing respect for olp when there are bands like papa roach out there drinking pepsi blue on tv....

nobody really ever had respect for Papa Roach.

it's not like they're trying to be artistic, they can be as commercial as they want.

true. but i just think if you are going to be a rock band, you can atleast PRETEND to be respectable. anyway, i just think there are more bands to worry about your fav. band turning into than OLP!

Our Lady Peace's deal with Adidas is not as overt as Papa Roach's Pepsi Blue ads. Seriously. Besides, at least with Adidas you get a bunch of cool free stuff that they'd wear anyway, which is probably the main reason behind why they did it. I would have. Pepsi Blue on the other hand *shudder*

are they doing ads and commercials?

that's a lot different than just wearing adidas. adidas probably sponsors them.

They just wear the clothes.

Which works out well for Jer, because he wears a lot of soccer-esque clothes anyways.
