Made of Steel = New Single

Post by Brooklin Matt »

As reported on ourladypeace.cc it looks as though "MADE OF STEEL" is the new single. Since a radio station already has it this appears to be definite.
What do people think of this choice??

I think there are better songs on the CD than this, but it's alright.

I don't like that I'm now going to hear three singles in a row when I listen to the CD. :freak: But that's just me.

Made of Steel isn't the best song, but when I first heard it I enjoyed it and I think that it will do pretty well though.

Will they release a 4th???

They're planning on going in to the studios this summer.

So, I have no clue. :uh:

Should have been All for You or Not Enough.
Don't ask questions, just accept it.

BBTS, although great, has less radio appeal.

I'd like to see ASAAG as a single, but that would never happen... :(

i think its funny that they released MOS cause they only played it live like twice......i think DYLI or AFY would have more radio appeal, but MOS is a good song...i guess they are gonna have to start playing it live
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

knowing my luck, they'll replace bring back the sun with made of steel in the live set.

thus making the live album ever worse.

ASSAG..........I would do some pretty bad things just to make that song a single. To hell with "other people".

I like the idea of Bring Back the Sun as a single........its something that OLp'ers would want, but the masses would demand other more catchy song, which gravity has in abundance.

This albums single choices have never courted to hard core OLPer's as far as im concerned. Thats the only thing that bothers me. If your gonna release a fairly radio friendly album, that may bring in a lot of new fans, at least release songs that show all sides of OLP. (as far as the album will allow anyway) Not just their nice fluffy pop songs.. get to the meat. My single choices would have been Somewhere out there, All for you and BBTS.

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

I'd have preferes BBTS or Not Enough... However, when it comes to songs on the album that will do the best single-wise, MOS really is their best choice.

they havint played it yet in a show...

I actually think this was a good choice, and probably will lead into the next album pretty well...
think about it... thief was a very slow, Raine's falsetto type of song which in a way led into In Repair and Spiritual Machines, then Life came out which made way for Gravity and SOT and Innocent... Made of Steal seems to be a good lead into what their next album (if Our Time is Fading is what the next album will sound more like)

I personally don't like Not Enough, I don't think its nearly as good as most the songs on the CD , it sounds like a song straight off Clumsy... that in itself is not a bad thing but it's something that the public will probably feel like they've already heard... I know thats how I felt about Not Enough the first time I heard it
