Well, the biggest supporters of OLP probably in the USA is 89X in Detroit. I listen to them once in a while, and here is a typical hour of their music. They usually play Good Charlotte, The All American Rejects, Avril Lavigne, Puddle of Mudd, Foo Fighters, New Found Glory, OLP, Jimmy Eat World, and something different like Joydrop or Nirvana. Excluding Foo Fighters and Puddle of Mudd, the other music they typically play would be considered pop-punk. So the decision by OLP to release something poppy is the obvious choice, seeing that is what's popular at the moment.

About Canada needing a good, hard rock song to bring fans in. There have been times where bands release different songs as singles at the same time. Aerosmith released two different songs, one in Canada and one in the USA, at the same time. So the potential for two different songs out at the same time is possible, but unrealistic. All I can say is I hope that Canadians like Do You Like It, because All For You won't be released for at least another 4 months...
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

seriously.

our lady peace could solve this debate by making an album with good songs on it.
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I have to say that now I have all the OLP albums at last, my favourite is Gravity. After that I don't mind really all the others are great CDs too, maybe not Naveed but definately the rest.

I don't know how they do it but they've made five albums with very listenable songs on them. Gravity appeals most to my music tastes but that don't mean the others aren't almost equally as great.

I think the problem is that not everyone here loves OLP's music as much anymore .. so the negative comments get to the people who do still love them and then more nasty comments start :(

here's my opinion,

I love OLP
They make amazing music
I love all of their albums
I love every song
I cant get through a day without hearing at least one OLP song
I HATE that ppl on here equate commercial success with bad music.....if ppl like the song then that probably means it is good
Is Clumsy a bad album because it is their best seller??????
Gravity is a great album by a great band!!!!!!!

Everyone have a great day!!!!!!!!!! :D

And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.
