Windows startup and shutdown

I've made two .wav OLP files that you can use if you want, in place of your Window's start-up and shutdown sounds.

Download the files below, then go to "Control Panel" and "Sounds". Then switch your current "Exit Windows" and "Start Windows" sounds to these new ones.

A nice way to OLP-ify your computer.

Anyways, the startup one is the first two guitar riffs from Stealing Babies. The shutdown is an exerpt from Naveed, starting with "Oh another day is gone, oh another day... mmhmm... is gone is gone..." and ending with the final "is gone, is gah-ah-on"

Or, if you'd like, you can download an "MP3 Splitter" and an "MP3 - Wav converter" (the file needs to be in Wav format). Then, download the MP3 of whatever song you want, and use the MP3 Splitter to cut out the section you want. Then convert it (you may need to use a low quality setting depending on the size of the chosen section). Voila! Your own personal startup and exit sound effects!

I have something like that already .. got it from Rich and Shelley's site .. the ending is the same. When I shut down my computer it's Naveed .. when there's an error it plays Car Crash .. and instead of the hour glass I have a spinning clumsy clown

A while ago there was talk of an OLP theme for Win XP with sounds, media, and whatnot. Anymore word on that?¿

Yeah I got it awhile ago .. like months and months ago .. so they might not have it anymore .. try e-mailing Rich and Shelley .. they'll write you back and let you know if you can still get it ..
