Taking Back Sunday

Post by megxyz128 »

I've heard a lot of people on here talking about how much they like this band, and I agree they're AMAZING, Tell All Your Friends is definitely one of the best records this year. So what do you all think?

Oh and song recommendations for people who are interested:
There's No "I" In Team
Timberwolves At New Jersey
You Know How I Do
You're So Last Summer
Bike Scene

they were damn good live!

rob was saying something about the TBS singer not being the original singer of the band though. it just strikes me as weird, that the singer leaves and it's still the same band. like can you imagine if raine was replaced, wouldn't it be weird if you just kept the same band name and kept going like nothing happened? i mean no way is he all the talent or anything but still.

but anyway yes tbs are pretty damn good. :)

taking back sunday are from amtyville which is 10 minutes from me..i wish i saw them before they got more famous. i was talking with some kids in school (gasp) and they were saying how they switched singers. I know someone went to the movielife or the other way around. Yea I didnt like them much at first but now i am addicted.

I am a big fan of the song "Head Club"

if you like them you should check out Brandnew (www.brandnewrock.com) and Patent Pending (www.patentpendingsmells.com)

I didn't realize they had so many fans on here. Tell all your friends was my favorite cd of the year, the lead singer change was defintely for the best though, added so much energy to their music.

Brandnew is definitely similar to TBS, and thanks areusad831, I finally download some of their stuff and it's amazing, I love it. The Used might also be put in the same category, probably not that close but they are touring together right now.

Yeah, I love that song! I really really like There Is No I In Team before, so that was cool to hear that one. I also like "Jude Law and a Semester Abroad", isn't that going to be a single? Do you know if they're making a video for it?

...are they making fun of each other?? cause I noticed the "twenty dollar bill" and "is that what you call tact...." lines on both cd's I though brand New was copying or something.
....Genderwize I'd say pop-punk\emo or something like that. Also everyone download Thursday... they aren't all that similar but they are AMAIZING, i just started listening to Full Colapse again and i love it :D

Ahhh! I'm so happy there's another Thursday fan on here. Yes, I'm obsessed with Thursday, they are SO amazing live, seriously, they have so much energy when they play. They are definitely on the top of my list.

Oh and about the two songs, are they really about each other? Both songs seem kinda harsh, I would be sad if one was about me, lol.

yes they are about an incident when the lead singer from TBS stole the singer from Brandnews girlfriend and they ceased being friends. Thats why they keep mentioning best friends and all that stuff. Personally I am on the guy from Brandnews side.

when they play in concert they play the songs together sometimes
