They are very good, but largely ignored in this community. If you've never listened to them, download some songs. I'd suggest:
Yes
IfWhiteAmericaToldTheTruthForOneDayItsWorldWouldFallApart
4st 7lb
Those are all from the same album, but in my opinion their material from that era was the most consistently good.

The "I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing" quote in my signature comes from them. Hope you like them, olpcc. And, in case it matters to anyone, their lyrics generally have a lot of swearing.

my exposure to them is limited, but generally i like it.
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

Wales' finest 8-) (imo)

I wasn't that big into them but they were on channel 4 doing some sort of live gig the other night and i was surprised at how many songs I knew. Then I went shopping and was able to pick up Know Your Enemy for £5 (I dunno what that is in dollars...not much for a CD...). Then my wonderful cousin gave me Forever Delayed Ltd Edition for Xmas. Eeeexcellent. It hasn't left my CD player yet.

I can't bring myself to listen to the remixes though. Remixes are usually really dodgy.

But yeah, Manics = :D

Download Miss Europa Disco Dancer.
