lol it was a lot easier than it looks. just threw the thing on the scanner, left the lid open, and scanned it. i've been doing that with everything in the house lately...

here's another version of it:

It's amazing how things still come out nice even if the top isn't all the way down.. nice pics. :) When I was scanning my flute headjoint I didn't think it would come out, but it did. That's weird, though, that yours makes the background black? Mine always turns out white.

hmm i wonder if it has anything to do with the surrounding lighting. my scanner's on a shelf under the computer desk, it's all dark down there. if it was in a well lit area it could turn out different...? or maybe that just has nothing to do with it...:freak:

what is the color of the bottom of the cover of your scanner? i mean the part that you put the backside of whatever you are scanning on?

well it's white but i don't put it down at all when i'm scanning 3-D objects, only for photographs, if you put the top down then definately the background would be white, hehe i thought you were leaving it up so i was way confused there. :P

Mine got burnt out in a thunderstorm in like August and I keep telling my mom to have it fixed and she just FINALLY called up some place. But the waranty doesn't cover accidents like that so she has to see how much it will cost first. :uh: I miss my scanner!
