I hate how people judge OLP when they haven't heard all their stuff.

But then again, that's their loss, and it's not my problem.

do i invade anyone's dreams?
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I hate this sooo much. Pretty much all my friends are like this. Every time I say one word about OLP they're like "You are sooo obsessed with them!" And I'm like "Well if you gave them a chance you might understand why!!" People think just because they've heard one song that they don't like they won't like any of their other stuff.

I hate the fact that of all the people who performed during Bayfest weekend, Raine was the only one that was nice enough to come over and say hi.

I hate Duncan and his wonderful bass playing.

I hate the fact that my first OLP concert was in my hometown.

I hate Spiritual Machines and the fact it made me cry when I listened to it on 9/11.

I hate that Naveed was the last album I had to get and it turned out to be the best.

I hate the fact that all this talk about OLP has made me want to end my little Great Big Sea binge and listen to OLP instead.

i hate how my friends are like "YOU LISTEN TO OLP TOO MUCH! STOP TALKING ABOUT THEM!"

i hate how no matter what, there's an olp song that suits how im feeling.

i hate how ive been a huge fan for 7 years and only seen them live once... but that one time was incredible

i hate how even after hearing one of their songs 50 times in a row, it still sends chills up my spine

i hate how they are just that good.
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

I hate how I love OLP's songs so much that even hearing another band perform them sounds amazing.

12 things I hate about OLP

Post by Cryptic »

I hate how I can't stop listening to OLP for one hour or I'll go berserk.

I hate how guys in grade 12 and OAC whom I've never met will yell across the hall, "Hey! OLP girl!" And they are loud.

I hate myself for putting pictures of the band on my computer, bedroom, locker, backpack, and binders, and writing "Our Lady Peace" all over the desks at school.

I hate the way every little word reminds me of a line in one of their songs.

I hate the way Middle of Yesterday is my life story, and I can't stop listening to it over and over.

I hate it when my family asks me to turn the CD player off because "I'm sick of hearing the same music over and over!"

I hate how they hold concerts too far away from where I live.

I hate my obsession with the band.

In particular I hate my obsession with Raine Maida, which is reaching a near-worship level.

I hate the way Steve's great guitar playing and energy almost makes up for Mike leaving the band.

I hate the way I wake up each morning with one of their songs stuck in my head that won't go away until I listen to another song.

I hate the fact that I'm practically the only one here who hasn't met them at least once.
