You know, that's a really good question. I'm sorry I can't give you a real answer.

But I have a "theory": In the Mafia someone always has your back. So I guess they're "right behind you".

Raine explained this at the acoustic Central Park show. It was named Mafia and then they realized that had nothing to do with the song so they added (right behind you). that is what raine said.

it was called spirit mafia originally and the ideas in the song had something to do with something raine read about spirit mafia.......but the band decided the song should be named after some of the lyrics....i heard something about raine saying that before
