Erm... *finds reciept*... $922.18. Including the case and strap. But list price is $1,299.

Heh, and I can't even play the thing. I truly am a devoted fan. :freak:

Nope..Its a telecaster...Tom Anderson is just coping Fender's Telecaster. So many copies in the world today.
Nikki why dont you try teaching your self again? Once you learn yu'll have fun....I self taught my self and I think I'm a decent player...I'm no Mike Turner though...I'm a amateur still....It also took mega dedication on my part though.... I checked it out to get a Guitar custom built...The guy says it all depends on what you want.......I showed him the one that I want and He said mine would cost alot...at least $5000+
He told me that one time a guy came in and wanted a Custom Les Paul....He wanted the best that money could buy and so $15,000 later he got his Les Paul.
Damn! I wish I were rich

I would actually like to make a copy of one of Emtee's other guitars

we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I think he means that it's called something different, but is essentially the same guitar. I know little about guitars, so I dunno if he's right. But it does look just like a tele. Dunno. :)

And, I've love love LOVE to try to teach myself again, but I'm just not good at teaching myself those kinds of things. The only thing I'm good at self-learning is anything to do with computers. *is a geek* But yeah, I've also got the problem that my hands don't reach across the fretboard right. I've got really slender fingers (artist's hands), and they don't like the strings at all. But, I used to play flute, and it took a while for my hands to reach across that, too, so I'm sure it's possible for me to learn guitar. I just need a little help. Someday I'll get lessons. Or maybe one of my *counts*... ahh, too many to count... MANY friends that play guitar would teach me. Hah. Right. My friends suck. Anyway, I know if I learn, I'll love it. *sigh* I'd kill to know how. I love the instrument, and I'm so obsessive about music, it's disturbing. Haha.

Nikki I know what you are saying....My mom says that I have piano fingers....Mine are slender... I had the exact same trouble that you said you were having...I couldnt get my fingers to stretch,no more than 4 frets....but no I can stretch my fingers 6 frets easy.....The most trouble that I had was Barre Chords and developing my left hand..Man learning Guitar is freaking hard :freak:

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with the finger problem (hah, that sounds weird :freak:). And really glad to hear that you overcame it and can play guitar. Gives me more hope for myself. Haha. *sigh* God I wanna learn.

Just keep at it...it'll take time.....all I can say is just keep practicing.
Here's some tips:
1. Know these basic chords-Amajor, Aminor, E major, E minor, D major, Dminor, C major, G major...Alot of songs were writin using these. Practice switching between these chords..press hard to prevent fret buzzing.
ONce you can do that moderatly well....try to use Barre Chords.
2.Learn some Theory-ie.learn the names of the notes on fret board, etc
3.to Help bulid speed and dexterity use scales.....you can find scales anywhere on the net(cyberfret.com or zentao.com/guitar...or just go to a music store and buy a book of scales....
4.Know chords lots of chords
5.Try picking out a song that you will like to learn..something easy....Well even an easy song is hard to play for someone that is still a guitar newbie.
6. Practic! Practice! Practice!!

Hopefully this will be usefull to someone I hope. 8-) .
