Perhaps. But I won't be seeing any of it, so I don't really care.

Ugh. That just ain't right. It's not even a matter of my opinion on Avril, the fact that a band with 5 multi-platinum records out, to speak nothing of their god damned diamond record, is opening for a "band" with a single bloody record ain't right.

*reads other posts* oops... I just love beating this dead horse!
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

I'm not complaining (well, not that much) - at least I get to see them play. Which is a very good thing!

I say live and let live......its obviously not Sony 'ur anybody high above that is sabotaging anything to do with this Euro tour, so everybody should just let it be. I have mixed feelings about Avril....my fiance has the cd and I'll admit its not the worst thing I've heard this year (in my mind, she beats the Hives to death!).
But yes....she is pop-packaged, but at the same time that is the music that is in. I completely DISAGREE that OLP should be opening for Avril, it definately should be the other damn way around...
But I say, on a final note, go for it......its music, it gets people out, it'll probably get LOTS of people that haven't heard OLP's stuff out there. That's a plus!

now you guys know how I felt when I had to see OLP support horrible acts(97-99). The even sadder thing is they will only get 40 minutes to an hour tops. Does she even have that much material to play that long.

you can have a full album and not be able to paly an hour. Look at OLP. None of their Cd's are over an hour. they are between 35-45 minutes. If you take the talking out of SM it is only 32 minutes of music.
most punk cd's are short. Joey Ramones Solo cd is only 32 minutes long

this is the stupidest thing ive ever heard

a band like OLP who's be around for 8-10 years, are gonna OPEN for little 18 year old Avril Lavigne who's been around for what? 6 months?????

i don't know what to think anymore

OLP goes out on a canadian tour (7 or 8 dates) which is not much of a fuckin tour, and then head to europe to open for a kid, something wrong there

why can't they be like sam roberts or something like that, he's all out for his canadian tour, from coast to coast,22 dates for his canadian tour!!

anyways,i can't wait for feb. 3rd in ottawa but im still not impressed with their way of touring

wow.....get outta the bitter barn and play in the hay my friend

Gail....I know. I was simply stating a point that her performance will probably be shorter than OLP's and yet OLP is opening????

That is the funniest quote I've heard in a while.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
