I'll let that crazysniffableguy hold his own for the majority of the auction before I start kickin in bids.
Now that I thought about it.....the latest conversion rate is JUST more than 1.56 Canadian for every US dollar.

That dude's really gonna spend $1000 US? Well I'm out I was gonna make a bid but, I do not have that kinda cash to through around.
He must be a super duper hardcore OLP nut to wanna spend that much. Freeaak :freak:

Hmm... well, I'm gonna feel really bad if crazysniffableguy loses. First off, he's really really nice. We're becoming e-mail buddies. Haha. He told me his stories about OLP... pretty funny stuff. :) Plus, the reason he's selling off his OLP collection is so he can win this auction. I'll feel so bad buying his singles off of him if he loses the auction, since it's the reason he's selling them in the first place. :(

If he's going to bid $1000 US (approx. $1600 CAN), then I think he's gonna win :P

I bet that guy is just all talk and is trying to scare people away from bidding, because who wants to spend $1000 on OLP merchandise? Like I said, bid at the last minute and pray you get lucky and win.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

thats what i do, bid last minute. it makes more sense, and you're jacking the price up less in some cases.

Exactly. I won't bid on anything until there's less than 10 minutes left on the object.

I'm the exact same way......some things I'll wait until there is 2 or 3 minutes before I bid on them.

the crazycabelwhatever his name is guy, is the same person who wanted to sell the OLP singles for 450.00 USA dollarsa and is now selling stuff seperately . I doubt he will spend that much. he told me he wanted to get a $1700 Mountain Bike. If he wins he will probably sell it off seperately through ebay to make money.

It is a good idea, but that would be horrible. That would cheat the real fans out of a prize, where as all the extra money he made could go to War Child, and not his pocket.

very true....I honesty couldn't pull that myself (cuz I'd be stoked to be able to donate that money to a worthy cause and see OLP) but.....if that guy is just trying to build up his bank account then he probably would.

Oh no no no! Guys, he's not doing that at all. He's really nice, and is seriously a fan. Here's his little OLP story (hope he wouldn't mind me sharing it... it's cute):

of course i got my olp stories, but they have more to do with duncan than anyone else in the band. *looks up and day dreams of the past* it all started in 98', the world is a blister tour, right after happiness came out (by the wya, not my first olp concert) , anyway, i was on the ground first row and duncan wore this toque (the same one from the "is anybody home? " video. i was wearing my hat and i told him i'd trade my hat for his toque, and hes like, i can't, its my only one!! so i kept bugging him and bugging him and what happened, is that everyone around me started to taking off their clothes and we kept piling jackets and shirts hats shoes, etc.. into this HUGE pile , it looked as big as your average sized snowman, and then i was like " duncan, all of this for your toque!!!! " and he laughed so hard and so did jeremy and then duncan was like, i can't man !!! and gave me a a high five (came off the stage) and jeremy threw a drumstick at us ( i didn't catch it though ). after that, summersault 2000 (an olp presented concert festival with moist, silverchair, treble charger, sum41, etc.. ) and duncan was on the stage, recoginized me outta the crowd and gave me his canada top hat !! i'll send you a pic of it. he told me this replaces the toque :P ahaha, then on december 3rd 2000 during the club tours, duncan and i still joked around but that, but this time i bugged him about backstage passes and he was totally laughing :) i always make him laugh :) i'd yell out "duncan you kick ass " and he'd blush and raine would look at me and laugh, and raine was like, "hey, duncan, is that the hat guy?! " and then they huddled and said i'd get a backstage passes, but later that night, duncan apologized cause there was no room so he said next time :) and those are my duncan stories, and im going to have 2 more cuase im going to the show in calgary alberta and my home town of edmonton.

So, yeah, he's a fan. And he's gonna keep the stuff for himself, not sell it off.

And I have no idea how high he's willing to bid, but he had just said he *expected* the auction to go up to at least $1000 Canadian. So, he's probably willing to go higher. But, he's winning again. So, yeah.

And, Gail, I'm buying most of those singles off of him, but yes, he is putting some of them back on Ebay. I have no idea about the whole bike thing, but maybe that's what he was gonna buy before he found out about the OLP.net auction. :) Dunno, when did you talk to him?

I would have loved to have won the auction with one of Duncan's amp tubes included. But it was way too expensive...
