It must be different in the U.S or something because I've been to a lot of concerts and never once had my camera taken and I've never made any attempt to hide it either. I usually just walk in with it in my hand and I usually get one of the guards to take a pic of me and my friend or whoever I go with.

It depends on the venue. When OLP was at Lancaster, they didn't care if you had a camera and didn't search you at all. But all the other concerts I've been to they've searched.

Oh I've been searched for nearly every concert too but not for a camera .. they'll ask what's in my purse and I'll say a camera or it's usually in my hand .. they're mainly concerned with bottles/alcohol/drugs/weapons and that sort of thing

They searched my purse and everything at the Hartford show. They took one of the batteries out of my camera.

I use flash depending on the situation. Sometimes if you're too close and use flash, or if something light colored is in the picture and you use flash it'll reflect and come out grainy. Depending on the lighting at the show is whether or not you need flash. If there is enough front lighting, then you won't have to use it and you'll still be able to see, but that's not normally the case at OLP concerts. I usually take some with flash and some without.

I'm getting a digital camera now. I just hope that never gets taken from me at a concert.

I wonder if we're safe for the Ottawa show because for all the Canadian dates on ticketmaster.ca, except for the Ottawa show, it says "NO CAMERAS/AUDIO/VIDEO" :wtf:

I'm taking my camera to the Ottawa, but I plan on hiding it. Thank goodness for winter coats and jumpers!
