Travis

Post by luckyJQ9 »

I know there used to be a topic for this band, but I couldn't for the life of me find it, so I'm starting a new one! I love these guys. I think they're so talented and they make some funny as hell music videos. Thoughts anyone? Questions/Comments? What do you guys think?

Personally, I think that Good Feeling is one of those albums that everyone should have.

i like 'em
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I only have "The Man Who" and "The Invisible Band." Sadly, I have yet to find their other albums in stores (I'm trying not to buy so much online,) though I look whenever I'm out.
Travis also has the amazing title of being one of the few bands I listen to that my mother likes. As a result, "The Invisible Band" has been MIA for about a week now, but I think I know where she left it.

Well, now I know what I'm going to fall asleep listening to tonight.

Someday, I'm gonna rip my Travis albums to mp3... then I'll actually listen to them. Is it sad that I own a few hundred cds, and like most of them, but never listen to them because I'm always on my computer, and Winamp's easier to start than my stereo??? :freak:

Anyway, Travis is awesome live. Anyone else see them? They opened for Oasis back in... *checks*... 2000. Great show.

And, yes! Their cover of "Baby One More Time" is absolutley hilarious. Haha, I love that. One of the few Travis tracks on my computer, so I actually get to hear it every once in a while. Hah!...

... I suck. :(

Oh it was. It definitely was. Small venue, too. Smallest venue I've seen Oasis in so far... *sigh* unless they ever reschedule their show at the same venue. It was "postponed" cos of that car accident this summer. They still haven't told us when it's rescheduled for. :( I either want a new date, or at least my money back. Those tix were EXPENSIVE.

But, Travis and Oasis. Yeah, incredible combo. They're friends, so it might just happen again. :)

I also have "The Man Who" and "The Invisible Band," and I saw them open for Dido, but there was this REALLY annoying girl in the second row who kept jumping and pointing her fingers at the stage, and she was the only person there standing. I wanted to deck her. That was also the show where my former friend was worried that she was pregnant the entire time, because her boyfriend didn't like the way condoms felt. Yes, she was pregnant. I haven't talked to her in almost a year because I have major issues with that sort of stupidity.

Strangely, I had to replace one of those CDs after having listened to it maybe only five times. It developed that gooky stuff that makes CDs skip.

Why does it always rain on me? Is it because I lied when I was 17?

Travis = wonderfulness.

'Good Feeling' is most definately the best album though - it's different to the others - more happy and, strangely, less commercialised.

They've been quite quiet recently though - after that thing with the drummer. Hmmm...
