I was thinking about Raine's comments regarding how directors are always telling him to hold back a bit and all that. Why is it that a director can't just say "Go with it. Be yourselves. etc...". That's what I'm hoping for the next video. I want a video with some form of a concept, and the band just playing like they love to play. I mean, SOT was supposed to give a look at what OLP are like with just four guys on stage. But we all know that Raine doesn't stand still the whole time. It would make a good video if Raine and the guys could just do their thing, maybe even a bit of a Raine-hanging-off-Steve thing during a guitar solo. Why not make a real video, with the real OLP?
Well, I will always have the memories of the SM tour where he was crazy on stage. Nothing beats spastic movements during "If You Believe" and "Life" Those two songs were probably the best live songs from OLP I've ever heard...ahhhhh
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

During the SM tour, I think the song that Raine went most wild on was Everyone's A Junkie... remember him spazing out on the floor while singing "Big green monkey everyone's a junkie.. ah... ahh... ahhh.. ahh"... he looked posessed man! that was the greatest!
i have a feeling the next video is gonna follow the other two too...but we wont know for a few months. hopefully im wrong but i dont see why they would change a style all of a sudden.

i know, i think that "somewhere out there" was soooo deep. i mean it tells this story of some pretty girl who probably doesnt even know who OLP is and shes at their concert and she climbs up some thingy and falls down into the crowd and crowdsurfs. well i dont really want to go in-depth, but i find it very philosophical.

SOT wasn't supposed to have hidden meanings or be 'deep' or tell a story .. they said they wanted to make a simple rock video .. they did .. simple as that.
I don't know how you garner deep meaning from SOT. Raine's meaning behind the song has a lot more emotional resonance than that damn video. It is just a straight up rock video that's got people flying around basically for a gimmick. Can you explain your philosophy to me??

I don't remember where I read this, but I remember Raine saying how SOT was supposed to have a storyline, but of course the director wasn't portraying it the way the band would have liked. So they said screw it and just made a live video.
Don't say we're healing when it's just not what we do...
