But it's so brilliant.

I know I'm going to get hell for this, but Conor is a much better lyricist than Raine.

*gives Bethany hell*

Silly, EVERYBODY knows Adam Duritz is the world's best lyricist...

I downloaded A Perfect Sonnet for you Bethany :)

Somebody needs to give that man hug. I think if I ever met him that I would have to hug him, I couldn't help it. He sounds like he is going to cry the whole time.

I would download more, but my computer is SOOOO slow and it pisses me off.

i just downloaded a perfect sonnet... i think that music's too sad for me to listen to... when other people cry it makes me cry, and unless that's his singing style, it sounds like he's gonna cry.
!EMiLY!

sweet blasphemy my giving tree
it hasn't rained in years
i bring to you this sacrificial offering of virgin ears
leave it to me i remain free from all the comforts of home
and where that is i'm pleased as piss to say

oberst is offensively talented. it's actually depressing when you consider that when he was my age, he was already responsible for so much more brilliance then i.

but i don't like emo.

I really dislike that word, lol. I can't use it, it's so cheesy. This kid asked me today what kind of music Bright Eyes was and I was like .. "Good" and he was like is it emo? and I was just like it's good, that's what it is.

nobody had a problem till it got all cool and got all these negative connotations attatched to it.

just you wait: soon the "real" vs. "fake" emo debate will start.

I got in the mail today my package from SaddleCreek records. I ordered the Christmas cd (which does not live up to my expectaions unfortunatly) but at least money went to charity. It makes me feel like a did a good thing for once. The christmas cd is only 20 minutes long and if anyone wants it I along with a few others have it on our computers too.

I also got "Lifted..." too and I havent listened yet but the first songs sure proves that this is not going to be a let down. When you can make a song out of driving on a highway basically speaking a story you are talented.

SaddleCreek also threw in two free stickers!! A BE one and the Saddlecreek sticker along with a BE postcard which was a surprise b/c I was upset I forgot to order some stickers. So all in all it was worth the wait. The packaging on "Lifted.." is amazing and the booklet is 24 pages long and easy to read unlike "Fevers and Mirrors". Okay go buy some Bright Eyes cds!!!

I dont know they really didnt do much with it. Im also not a fan of other people singing besides Connor especially on "White Christmas" but I guess since it was "A Saddle Creek Christmas" it makes sense
