Steve's Message
I'm glad Steve's getting used to the whole super-stardome thing. It's good to hear from him.
One thing that kind of feels weird to me is the talk of a new album already! It hasn't even been a year, and they're already looking for a chance to get back to the studio (probably not any time soon, but they're already talking about it!).

I doubt they will for awhile .. I mean Chantal and Raine are teaming up for a bit on an album and I believe they're still gonna do a Canadian tour for Gravity after the holidays and with the 2nd Gravity coming out and all the hype surrounding Gravity right now I don't see them going back into the studio until the end of 2003 .. that would be the wise thing .. another album so soon after Gravity wouldn't be good .. at least I don't think so

I am so excited for and looking forward to the future. We are currently planning out our next few months and throwing ideas around and we are very excited and trying to figure out how and when we can get into the studio to begin a new record. We have been messing with some ideas at soundchecks and I've heard Raine messing with the odd idea and all I can say is that I'm super super psyched and can't wait to put some stuff down on tape.
He said they were trying to figure out how to get into a studio fo record, not they were. Also lots of band record when they are on tour. They go to studios after they play a gig. I never understand how they did it he also said he was excited because this is all new to him. He would be on a whole record as to a few tracks. I asked Steve if he played on Gravity and he told me he plays on three songs, becasue it was pretty much recorded when he got there..
OLP pretty much picked Steve of out obscurity to a chart topping band. It is all new to him. I am glad to see him adjusting. I think up on stage he is in his element, but gets a little shy from the attention. It is so cute how humble he is.

God, I wish I could remember more about the new album talk from Villanova. I definitely listened while Jeremy was talking about it, but I couldn't really hear him that well, cos at the time I was standing behind him. But, they're definitely thinking about it as a band, since Steve posted about it and Jer was talking about it. No idea when it's happening, though. Maybe my friend Melissa caught more of that part of the conversation. *will ask her*
And, Steve is a total sweetheart. He wasn't shy at all with me, just really really nice.
So, I'm really glad he's adapting, as well.

i thought you meant the next album when i read this
it's funny because it's (probably, but hopefully not) true
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I really, really wonder what the 6th cd will be like. They're using Bob Rock again.
I guess time will tell.
But, if it's another Gravity, may I suggest a mass boycott?

I still don't think Gravity was THAT bad .. I'll still support them with their 6th cd .. though I'd love to see them go back to Lanni, that's for sure

yeah, I don't think Gravity was THAT bad either...but if they made another CD similar to or worse than Gravity...that may be problematic.
I'm not going to worry about it. OLP loves their fans and won't let us down.

Hmm . . . sounds like a good time for some random spam. There's only one thing to say to Steve in regards to the next album. 12-string.

Gravity was awesome, I don't know what everyone is talking about. Sure, different, and I love the old albums (Happiness & SM more so than Gravity), but nonetheless, its amazing and I wouldn't be disappointed at all with another Bob Rock production.
