Was that his given middle name? I remember reading somewhere that he changed his name to Raine because he'd had an encounter with a homeless girl named Raine who really impressed him with her bravery.

And it was in the form of an interview, so it'd be fairly serious if it was entirely fabricated, since I'm pretty sure I remember him being quoted as saying that.

Plus, Raine's parents are pretty devout Catholics, I thought, so it doesn't seem likely that they'd be even a little bit eccentric with naming their children.

haha well it's his middle name, isn't it? I read that his name was Michael Raine Maida. But maybe he just incorperated that in there. And Ralph is his cousin, not his brother. Someone said he was the president of their highschool. Very cool indeed! I would transfer any time...
