olp.net contest

Post by allison »

Did anyone here enter? I really doubt that I entered soon enough, but I'm curious to know who won. I also wonder if I got the correct answers to the questions. Silly contests!

It was 4:21 on my computer clock when I finally hit submit.

I'm pretty sure I got all the questions. Had to throw in my I&I tape to get 2 of the short film titles from World's A Blister tour. :)

Did anyone out there get notified yet? Hopefully Stace will do it tonight. I don't even know if I'll check my e-mail at all tomorrow. I'm getting up, going to class, then heading downtown.

Woo hoo!!! actually, i'm nervously awaiting my friends call to see if her parents are gonna let her go..I can't imagine winning front row and then not getting to go! uh, anyways, if i can go, were getting the bus at like 9, so we anticipate being there 3ish (we hope). This will hopefully give enough time to get to the ACC box office (it is the ACC box office right?) and get our tix. Then maybe i'll go visit U of T or something to kill a few hours...haha, the only money i have is gonna get me there, so like no eating, but FRONT ROW OLP!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sooooo excited...except quite nervous *please be allowed**pleasebe allowed*

Anyways, hopefully I'll see you there :D

If you get into Toronto at around 3:00 you will have lots of time to get to the A.C.C. box office by 3:30 as long as you get off at Union Station. Union is connected to the A.C.C. so it's less than a 5 minute walk. However, if you get off the bus at the Elizabeth Street Terminal you could be screwed. It's a very long walk from there and, unless you know your way around the city, it could take a while to find the subway to get back to Union.

I'm taking the bus too. I leave Guelph at 11:45 and get into Toronto by 1:00. That means I have 2.5 hours to kill in downtown Toronto! Ugh! I also have to make it up to my boyfriend's place in North York by 4:30 so we can start partying before the show. I wish the city transit didn't take so freakin long!

See you tomorrow!

Hey Allison,
I see some of my OLP luck rubbed off on you.

I have a quyestion. who toured with them mostly in 98, and when did CLumsy go #1. Here in the USA they toured mostly with 3rd eye blind then.

Did you have fun. Let's see- You win front row to this show. Get SC passes for London, ONT. People are going to start getting jealous.
BTW, I am still going to tape the Rock and Roll Hall thing for you. It airs in a few weeks. I will email you when it is done.

Yes Gail, I have been pretty lucky over the past couple of weeks. It's nice to know that I still have some good luck left! The show was fantastic. I was right in front of Duncan and I managed to get a setlist again! I'm already itching to see OLP again. I can't wait for a Canadian tour.

Thanks for taping that show for me. OLP toured with Black Lab in the US for a good part of 1998. I can't remember the exact date that Clumsy went #1 but it was only a few days after the album was released in 1997.

I'll post pictures from the show as soon as I get a chance. I'm still in T.O. and won't be home until really late tonight, but hopefully by the end of this week I'll get them up. I got some great shots since I had my digital camera.
