In order to go to univeristy, you have to take a mandatory 5 years of high school. But, they have changed that rule for the grade 12's so that they only need to take 4 years. Sooooo, that means that we will all be graduating together. yayy

and yes, if i did go to school in the U.S. i would be currently in my first year of university. damn ontario schools.

and i guess you can say that OAC is equivalent to first year of university in american universities. Cause i remember my computer teacher last year telling us to go to university in the states or other provinces cause we can automatically start in our second year.

People don't take calculus unless:

a) They're the freakish type that loves math
b) They have to take it to graduate

I like math. :(

No no no no no no, AP is just a harder type of class and IB, which I am in, is just a completely different curriculum.

OAC is not a hard concept. There are 5 years of highschool. Grades 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 (or OAC as it's called in this province). 5 years of high school. You graduate when you're done the 5 then you go to post-secondary.

Except now they decided that Ontario should be like the rest of the world and have only 4 years of high school. This means that at the end of this year, which is the last year that has OACs ever, the 13s and 12s will BOTH be graduating at the same time since there will BE no gr 13 for the 12's to go to next year. Capeesh? It's called the "double cohort" and I sincerely sympathize with anyone who has to go through with it since there will be twice as many kids vying for post-sec spots. Some OACs took the initiative to fast track and graduate a year early to avoid the double cohort.

I'm just one year after it which will also kind of suck since we'll have the overflow from it, the people who couldn't get in the first year and are trying again

my bro's doin IB and AP shtuff down in florida and the way lori was talkin about it, and about gettin into second year in a post secondary institution and stuff.. thats what confused me :)
basically my bro finishes up his IB/AP stuff and he's in his sophomore year at whatever school he wants.. and since he's most likely goin to UF in gainesville, he has free tuition or something.. plus scholarships?! i dunno.. stupid florida is a rich state.. damn oranges and tourists.. its fucked.. my bro gets to goto school for free basically and i get bogged down with a shitload of student loans.. life is great.

for the record i went to school in nova scotia just happened to know a lot of ppl up here.. heh

the double cohort was bound to happen eventually tho

heh
actually its any florida based school
but thats not for JUST IB students tho
thats for anyone who does AP shit and moderately well and they have to do community service to qualify .. well everyone has to do the community service thing to get that.. even IB kids..

but hey.. when you rake in 6 billion per year from oranges and another 8 or 9 billion from ppl coming, gettin bitten by sharks and goin to amusement parks and all that shit.. why not throw some money at kids and try and have a good education system? lol

theres also no state income tax or state tax for shit.. which i guarantee my dad likes heh

Yeah, I heard from some one at school that the Alkaline Trio show was fucking awesome.... :(
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

The creepiest thing happened at work today. We get a call from trade secrets (they're like 2 doors down from us) and they are all freaked out cause there is some guy in a mask standing outside their store. So, one of the guys that i work with gets all macho and goes outside and walks towards this guy. He said that he was wearing a ski mask with no holes in the face and he was also wearing a hood. When the guy from work walked toward the crazy guy, the crazy guy started to pull something out of his pocket and the guy from work ran back to our store. Then the crazy guy walked off in the other direction. 30 minutes later, there are 4 cop cars in the parking lot. We didn't see what happened with the cops though. It wa so creepy.
