Central Park Show

Hey.........
Who's going to this? I might try to make it down, because the timing is pretty convenient. However, I wouldn't be able to get there TOO bright and early in the morning........so if 500 people are going to get there at an absurd hour I probably won't come.

Who knows New York (GAIL:) ) and has an idea of what time people will start to get there?

I would go but there about 1000 problems interfering with it so im not going to even try. I missed class on Friday for the AC OLP show and really cant miss another day of english classes. So I could get to the city by 2:30 but whos not going to want to see a free concert so the tix will all be gone. They should test you on the order of every song off of all 5 cds for tix cause then I would stand a chance. If i get beyond that problem I have work from 5-9 and well i could call in sick. Then I made plans for Friday night. GRRR. I guess you can see how inconvient this is for me. Why cant it be on Saturday because then I would have no problems. :evil:

Anyone want to join me on Saturday and do a city-wide search for OLP.

School?

No, but really, the only reason I have a chance is that we have this week off school. My birthday is Saturday. I'll be 18 (woo hoo) and I had a big bonfire party planned, but I bailed since I'll be on crutches. My mom wanted to take a trip, and since my last three birthdays have sucked, I think she's more willing to do this.

I have a fantastic idea for everyone. If someone wants to get there really early in the morning........they can wait for a few hours. Then, I'll come and wait ALL the rest of the day for them, and they can get back in line with me later. Yeah? A few hours, and then the WHOLE day off?????

i would but, like rob, i have some major conflictions. i blew off all my responsibilities last friday for the AC show and it realllyyyyyyy wouldn't be good if i did it again. but i would if i had tix! the problem is getting tix!

hey i might try to see if i can get to nyc on friday..the only thing is i would miss this class trip that i have been waiting to go on for months (ok, one month) but olp is more important, but its my dad's bday and i can't ditch him for his bday, unless i bring him to his first olp concert :wink: i entered to win the OMA wristbands, but if u win do u still have to get there early? i dont understand this wristband business hehe well by tomorrow i shall know if i am going

And I was too late. And I got it wrong.

Damn them all...........my mom agreed that I could go if I won a ticket....not if I didn't.

GUys this isn't just an OLP show. It is to try the new MSN 8. There are ads up in times Square to come by and try it out. People go for a free show.
Me, i will be there bright and early. I have waited forever to see OLP play accoustic. Plus I was told about this show 2 weeks ago. I am pysched. but word of advice, if coming get there early. These things always sell fast nomatter who is there. :love:

how many cds was it on? i put that it was on 2, did they announce if anyone won yet??? grr i can only go if i win, which i probably didnt now that it is thursday and all and i got no email back. Have fun at the show Gail! How often does olp have an acustic show?

Rarely. They did a tour a few years ago, but haven't done many since. A few songs for radio stations, but not a full blown show. Free shows can be such a pain in the ass though :cry:

It has been on FIVE cds, thats what is so cheating about this. I didn't know the date of them all though. No chance that I won.
And I'm pretty sure they announced winners..........but I don't know if there is a list, or if we just know we lost because we didn't get an email.
