"hometown shows" being extra special is a huge myth.

That's a sweeping generalization -- I'm sure there are exceptions -- but it's a pattern I've noticed with bands I follow.

I'm just trying to prevent disappointment.

People, it's a Best Buy event marketing thing that OLP happens to be playing at. You've got free tickets, go, party, enjoy. But don't convince yourself the Jimi Hendrix will walk on stage and jam with Steve during Naveed.

I think Jimi Hendrix is dead.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

No No ANNA,
they played U2 for me. They figure the should just get it over with so I would stop asking.
I was the one after all who was wearing the u2 shirt, gave Raine 2 U2 bootlegs, Bono's guitar pick and autograph, so it was finally payback time.

actually in all seriousness it was Jeremy's idea and I thanked him for it,.

You guys keep bragging about your setlist, it's identical to the detroit show, and detroits where they were gonna film the dvd! Not to mention, they played Blow @ high dough, which is better!

Yeah, but they didn't film there now did they. ALso Detroit started their Sept tour in the USA> . they have been changing the setlist somewhat from Month to Month. I could say you got the same setlist we did minus a few changes at Birch Hill and that show was early June.
I think the majority of people here have been hoping olp do a u2 song and when they finally do, it is in the USA.

I don't think people were bragging about set list, but what they would love to hear the band do.

I know nobody was bragging, I was just joking around. I remember a few years ago, somebody posted that during a soundcheck, they played a few Van Halen songs. That would be interesting.

I think a lot of that Van Halen jamming happened when Rob Higgins was filling in for Duncan during late-winter '01. Apparently Rob and Jamie especially dug Van Halen. :)

You are correct sir. It's quite a family - Rob's been in some great projects himself
