we ALL have this same problem

I e-mailed the edge a few hrs ago. We're working on it.

it said in the sony e-mail that if you have any questions, go to the CC...but I'm not on the cc. So anyone who's on the cc, see what they say about getting the tickets.

ticket pick-up problem

Post by allison »

As far as I know, if you have a question about picking up your tickets you are supposed to talk to Marie, the CC moderator. If you aren't a member of the CC I'm not sure how you can get in touch with her. The Edge has a million and one things going on and doesn't have time to deal with the minor details of this contest. Marie has specifically requested that we avoid bothering them.

Jim: An hour and a half really isn't that far to travel to pick up your tickets. I live about the same distance away from Toronto and am taking the bus down tomorrow to get mine.

As Allison said, The Edge will not be able to help you out with picking up tickets...

Here's what you should do:

---------

Hey guys,

Instead of flooding The Edge with calls about this, your concerns should be addressed to Marie from Sony.

When you email her just remember she's only in the office during the day (10-6 EST) but I'm sure she'll try to help you out if it's possible. The Edge is already doing a ton of stuff for this show, so we don't want to swamp them ;-)

You can send her email from this link (http://forums.prospero.com/dir-app/bbca ... ONE_BY_ONE).

I don't know if that link will work for those of you who aren't registered with the CC, but i noticed that Marie posted on the CM so you can try sending her a private message.

Yeah, if I was on the CC that would be helpful....lol
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Hey Jim .. I'm almost positive I'll be in Toronto this weekend .. and since I won tickets I don't mind picking yours up too .. if they'll let me that is .. I mean we live in the same city too so I can easily get them too you .. I don't know though since apparently you need photo i.d when you pick up the tickets

I think that you need to have the winners ID in order to claim the tickets.

Hey all...

Stace is right, please don't e-mail or call the Edge with your questions. I don't have time to reply to everyone individually, but I'm going to put up a F.A.Q. post both in here, on the CC and on the Satellite by noon. Hopefully that will provide answers to most of your questions.

I sure hope that they figure it out so that people can pick up tickets for other people. If not, there's going to be a TON of people who can't go...but maybe that's their intent. I mean, they'll probably take your ticket give it to somebody else if you don't pick it up by the 24th.

There's a topic on the cc about questions concerning the acc show. I asked how people out of town can pick up their tix, and i also asked about the whole picking up tix/going to the concert with someone who is over 19. I also asked if the floors were gonna be general admission or actual seats. If i get any answers, i'll post em here

The only way people are gonna get their tickets is if they go down themselves .. with i.d. It sucks but they sound pretty strict with that .. otherwise I'd be glad to pick up people's tickets for them.

ok Jo you may be my only chance

if they allow you to grab mine that would be fantastic... maybe I can write a letter that you can bring with you or something which says that I'm allowing you to grab my tickets... I dunno...
I'll talk to you about it on ICQ...
