New movie, new songs, and a re-release.

I'm not sure if this will be good or if it will kill the movie for me.

Yes you're right, it is another nightmare before Christmas.

Fall Out Boy + Panic! At the disco + Marilyn Manson = Worst soundtrack EVER.

It's going to be nothing short of traumatizing. Poor poor kids.

Just my opinion of course...

I am a manson fan, but nightmare was a musical, it's suppose to have musical style music, not manson and fall out boy. It just won't be the same amzing Tim Burton creation if they change the soundtrack.

I'm certain that Manson is a nice guy, but I don't really appreciate his music and I think he goes way too much into his 'image'. Loses alot of respect from me, musicians shouldn't care too much about how they look, and more about the music. If they can pull off both, then great. But I think 90% of his fans just like how freaky he portrays himself.

I must admit I love how he portrays himself, but I am definatly more into the music. I listen to a lot of music, not only for the style but for the lyrics because I find the song means more when you listen to and understand what the artist is talking about. Personally I connect with a lot of things Manson sings about, whether they are thinks from my own life or lives of people I care about, I love hearing that in my music. It kinda give me a comforting feeling, knowing that someone else understands.

Fair enough, I like neither, so I'm out. Just aslong as you're not like "OMG BLOOD!!"

Definatly not.

speaking of Blood, one of the bands atthe family values concert yesterday stuck two fingers in his mouth and cut open his mouth somewhere so that blood poured down his chest. :wtf:

(anybody else notice how quickly this thread ended up off topic?)

Okay maybe I read the article wrong, but those bands are just covering on the SOUNDTRACK, the article said nothing about completely redoing the movie with new music and new voices. All they're doing is putting it back into theatres, and then releasing a two-disc soundtrack with covers of the songs from the movie.

Unless I read

"As it turns out, a whole lot of them were more than happy to comply. Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Marilyn Manson, Fiona Apple and She Wants Revenge will all appear on a special two-disc edition of the "Nightmare" soundtrack, contributing cover versions of songs featured in the film. The double-disc set will hit stores October 24."

totally wrong.

Yeah I haven't looked up anything else about the movie. I was hoping someone else round here would do my homework for me. heh.

I doubt the new songs will be the songs in the movie. Just on the soundtrack.
I dont think putting bands like Marilyn Manson and Fall Out Boy will make it bad. If you dont like those bands, then fine. But the point was that fans of the movie are getting to take part in the movie and re-do songs that they are already fans of. Thats pretty rad to me.
Better than other soundtracks that have completly unrelated songs by bands that could care less about the film.

ooooo I thought they were redoing the music IN the movie. If it's just on the soundtrack I don't care, I may or maynot pick it up, but i am definatly going to see the movie in theatres!

Not much new info....but I'm pretty sure the new songs are just for the soundtrack by the sounds of it.

Which makes me think, if they are not changing anything with the movie, why bother at all?
Oh yeah. Money.

Even from the first article it is obvious that they won't change anything within the movie. Read this paragraph...

As it turns out, a whole lot of them were more than happy to comply. Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Marilyn Manson, Fiona Apple and She Wants Revenge will all appear on a special two-disc edition of the "Nightmare" soundtrack, contributing cover versions of songs featured in the film.
