You guys should know that an admin can change your name if you absolutely need it done at some point.

i think that its nice to be able to change your username. people change, and i know i like the flexibility of being able to redefine myself within this board.

It also seriously screws up my CMer photo labelling on my harddrive.

I label by "real name (username)".

but its not confusing for long. we always figure out who everyone is in a relatively short time. and i thought that's why the username changes thread was initiated.

Well, we actually started this poll in the mods forum before that thread got started... it ended tonight in a tie, so that's why it's here now.

I don't mind people changing their names if I can still tell who they are -it's when they change their avatar and sig at the same time that it gets really confusing (Froggy that means you!!!!).
Anyway, I voted to turn off the changes cos the less things that can confuse me the better!

But you get the hang of it soon enough. I think that it's important to give the option for people to change it.

How about we announce it if we change our usernames?

I was going to make something to automatically do that.

So there's no need to just remove the option to change the unsername.
