Because I wasn't albe to sleep last night, I decided to take all my cds out of their cases and but them into large binders I buy from work for cheap.

This morning, I was woken up by all the shelves on my cd-wall-tower-thingie caving in, breaking almost all the cases.

Right now, I'm pissed, but giddy because I saved all my cds from getting wrecked, which would probably ruin my life.

Hundreds of cd cases destroyed, sitting on the floor in my room. I cried.

That's awesome timing you had to save the cds, though.

Holy cow, that's like a miracle! If I lost, or anything ever happened to my cds, I really would have a breakdown.

I couldn't sleep either, I have the sore throat from hell.

I also just organized all my cds, and gave away the ones I don't want anymore. I also put them in alphabetical order...I am so anal.

I should clean my room. Tis a pig pen. Maybe I will shave today as well

Well they used to be organized, but it was based more on favorite (taking into account how many I had from each band), then down to just random cds I have. That got to sketchy cause my friends keep taking my cds to borrow and then I can't remember who's got em or even which ones they are. So I figured this would be better. I counted 128. I'll bet some of you have 8 times that amount.

I forgot to count the last time I looked. It's around 485 though.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

But I get confused on what to do in this instance: I have all of the Matchbox Twenty cds, as well as the Tabitha's Secret cd (Rob Thomas, pre-MB20). I was really torn on what to do. It's all out of alphabetical order...but belongs w/ MB20....

Ooh! I know exactly what you mean! I had the same issue just a few days ago when I finally put my Kara's Flowers cd away (pre Maroon 5, four of the five band members' old band). I wound up just putting it with K.

Luckily, for Oasis and Silverchair side projects, I don't have that problem, cos they have their own cd racks, and I just put them in there chronologically. (Same would happen with OLP, if they ever have any side projects. )

Yes... it gets difficult when you've got multiple versions of singles and you have to figure out which one came first.

As far as side projects, if the record store files them under the original band that's what I do, too. Solo albums are different though. Matthew Good Band is under M but Matthew Good is under G.

And then I have trouble deciding if people by one name should go by first name or last name...

I am an organization freak, but only when it comes to the things I care about....like cds L

i just put them in the order i got them lol, buy one cd throw it in line, next cd goes after that
