Where did Raine say it would be "guns a blazing"?

Haha, same here. Duncan finally started getting back to the complex basslines on Burn Burn (and as I've said before, he's the only one who consistantly delivered on Burn Burn). Now let's hope Jer goes back to his jazzy, interesting drumming!

Oh, and Flynn, it was here (found it on OLP's FaceBook/Twitter):

I think Duncan definitely brought back the groove in Burn Burn. However, I think Steve really shone on some tracks as well.

If Raine is really working on his higher range for this tour...I am excited to see what the new album might bring from him! And yes, Jeremy, more jazz-influenced beats!

Steve definitely shined on some tracks, but I don't really think he did consistantly. He did great on Monkey Brains, Escape Artist, Refuge (which is a song where everyone does good), and Paper Moon. But for the rest, he still either wasn't doing much, or he was but only for a small portion of the song.

Oh, I know I saw that somewhere... an article @OurLadyPeace posted a link to on Twitter. I found it.

That comment stood out to me.
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

I really enjoyed the acoustic version of The End Is Where We Begin. And Raine's sweater. I actually noticed that, not just because Gail brought it up!

not sure if this has been posted before...but i stumbled upon this .
Canoe top ten sexiest male canadians.

8. Raine Maida

Maida is the definition of sex-on-legs. With his good looks and charisma, the Our Lady Peace frontman easily commands all the attention on stage. But the sexiest part of him is his social conscience. Maida, who's married to Chantal Kreviazuk, works with War Child, even travelling to Iraq to help.

Nice! He doesn't really fit in the list -- it's not even a musician list, just overall Canadian males. Odd. Good pick for Ryan Reynolds though, I'll say.

So, now that it's January, I guess that means the writing/recording session will be sometime within the next couple of weeks or so.

Hopefully the band/TW/.net crew will hook us up with some videos from the sessions!

I heard that a BUffalo show was being announced today. Has anyone heard when or where yet?

March 26th and 27th at the Riviera Theater. Tickets go on sale Saturday at noon. Looks like I'll be extending my Erie trip by about five days to go to this!

I know Bree. At the time I did not know. There is a thread now for it..

Got this off the OLP.net email

2009 GOES OUT WITH A BANG FOR OLP!

Though 2010 is looking AMAZING with the Spiritual Machines/Clumsy tour coming up in March, we can't forget how good 2009 was to OLP and Burn Burn. Their latest album and singles topped several year end countdowns, including Clevescene.com, Alternative Addiction, Edge 102 and 97.7 Htz FM!! Thank you again to all the fans who voted and have continued to support OLP's music throughout the years - they're REALLY looking forward to the upcoming tour and playing some of your favourites live again!

You are welcome..

SOT came on the radio on the bus today and I got so excited, I screamed. People were like "what?" I was like "OLP OLP OLP!" Being a school of 11 to 15 year old who live on Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne, no one found them cool or knew who they were.

I too freak any time I unexpectedly hear OLP.

Those moments are usually the best in my life.

I'll be standing there wherever, and realize I'm half dancing and happy because I can't get that OLP song out of my head.

Then I realize "Wait. That's not in my head."

"Holy hell! OLP!"

and the big smile on my face when I heard the opening notes of SOT on the White Noise credits ages ago. Unmatchable.
Every line I've crossed has come undone, everything I know is somehow wrong.

The article lost me at "Legendary musicians such as... No Doubt"

But I laughed at: "and because somewhere out there our Gravity record sold a million copies, all of a sudden they wanted to do that again"

somewhere out there... haha, er, ha.
