There was an article on NME earlier saying that chantal had retracted all her comments about Avril - but I can't find it any more

Apparently, according to the news segment played over and over and over (ad nauseum) on the Ontario station I listen to at work, Avril said that she and Chantal had worked on a song together but that it didn't work out, and that's why Chantal isn't mentioned on the CD. Chantal sent an apologetic e-mail to Avril, which Avril has apparently accepted.
I don't have a link to prove the story, but this is exactly what they said in the news brief that they repeated at least 15 times in my 6 hour shift.

Yeah apparently she retracted her comments. She didn't intend to insinuate that Avril was not a genuine songwriter and acknowledged that the two songs are very different songs.

The Girlfriend song she did - she recorded it in 8 different languages. Listening to Avril sing in Japanese is HILARIOUS.

i was at some music store here trying to hunt down what now appears to be a non-existent cd for my mom of really cool sounding fusion cd.. the one song i heard had like a dancey kinda beat w/ traditional indian instruments and stuff.. but it was really done well
anyways
i went to some big ass music store here
had to wait
so i listened to avril's cd a bit while waiting.. the songs i heard all sounded the same to me which i didnt really like.. i think she needs to mature a lot but for some reason i think she has the talent to actually pull off something decent eventually (like really really longterm)
